Not that he doesn’t work hard enough, saying he can’t do it, and that’s why even if he fully believes he is the best that’s an explanation for not playing him at all when we had one winger.

I think he must have been out injured because he wasn’t making the bench even, and Rodgers does really like him, trusts him but knows he’s at the twilight of his career.

He’s shown how he wants to use him early this season, and in his last 2 appearances lately. And talked him upto * to prepare the fans to * accept that I think. It’s the first real BR like clever management I think I’ve seen since he returned.

Waxing charming bullshit, with a gentle patronising tone that he knows best and get behind it, and in a way I’m totally aware of what he’s doing but back it and agree. That was 1 and a half years of that first time, before it started going a bit stale and public arguments between him and the board.

Did BR not want to keep him? I'm sure MJ said this could be wrong

MJ chose to leave, he could have stayed around and tried to win a place and hit the form he has for us still but with increasingly fleeting time on the pitch.

Don’t think it’s the same as wanting him to stay, more wasn’t actively punting him and MJ decided that he needed to. And he was spot on accurate there, and was proven vindicated in doing it after 2 games or so.

And that’s part of his form, he is such a confidence player. And he’s not had any for us since he returned under Ange, destroyed a team for 15 mins, smashed the post with a brilliant attempt, * his next first touch and lost the ball, his shoulders physically slumped after that.

And they never perked back up from that. And this season when he got a chance, he’s not a RW and he knows that he doesn’t suit that. And he was just trying to hit the touchline, ball across goal, hopelessly most of the time due to no * being in the box except Kyogo with 3 men on his shoulders really.

Now he’s at a team that doesn’t have the pressure of our fans, in his best position, with freedom to express his game, have a pop at goal and is showing what he showed when he first came through and what every manager has said about him in training - the boy has a lot of talent.

He missed his development years, a fanbase turned against him, so best thing is part ways and allow him to flourish elsewhere. We better * have a big sell on fee on him when he goes though. A year of his form in the Championship, if he manages that, or even 70% of a season of that. He’ll go for a fortune down there

The attitude of fans at games towards MJ bordered on disgusting at times.

Just watched the highlights of the last West Brom game. They beat Bristol City 2 nil. MJ didn't get a goal or an assist. But for both goals he ran at the Bristol defence and played the pass to the players who got the assists. He also played the full 90 mins.

He pulled out of a tackle on the edge of our box yesterday and let the Belgium player come away with it in a dangerous position. It was probably even 55-45 in Mikey’s favour. Even though it was only a friendly, it was infuriating.

Summed up all that’s wrong with him as a player. He has all the skill and technical ability in the world but his lack of heart is holding him back from becoming the player he could be.

Fair Quote....he did pull out of the tackle but i did think at the time that its only a friendly and he didint fancy being on the treatment table again.
But i guess being a fringe player he should being trying to make a impression to the incoming manager and he should be gettint stuck in.

A fully fit Mikey would be a good squad player as a backup to an exceptional starter.

But we don't have an exceptional starter and he's never fully fit

Championship must have the most abysmal defences ever, lol.

Good luck to him hope he scores 100 goals, I just want anything we can get, he's nowhere near good enough, even for the bench.

  14. It isn't that the defences are abysmal....he just has more space and less pressure to express his self..

I was gonna go to watch them at Millwall last week but didn't (watched it indoors) and I said to my pal he's been flying. After the game I said I could tell inside 5 minutes he was gonna crumble..

Bit of a hostile crowd on top of you
Millwall camped in a bit defensively and their right back Leonard went flying in early doors

He didn't really get much of a kick the rest of the game. Happened a fair few times in our domestic games against those kind of defences and challenges..

Whatever anybody will give for him I would take, he will never make it hear as we all have great expectations for him which he will never fulfill. The best thing for him is to start his career elsewhere where the will not be the huge expectation that we put on him, wherever his career goes then good luck to him.

I'm glad he's doing very well. WBA fans seem really happy with him.

I hope their their delight is reflected in the offer they make to buy him.
