  1. Can't say anything about the source, no quotes, but seems to be linked to us every transfer window. Always concerns about wages, injuries, and now his age, 32.

Talk from him about where he would and wouldn't move:

  2. No thanks way past it

  3. please * no like gordon he is far to injury prone and he would also want to be a top earner which couldn't be justified with his injury record add his age and it is definitely a no from me

  4. Knew this crop up when Man Utd released him ,No from me ,we have far younger players than Own at the club who are pinging in the goals ,Wages alone for him would be sky high and another high flyer winding down his carrer but hopefully not with us.

  5. Wages would stop any move. IF he could keep injury free he'd do well, but that's unlikely when you see the state of some pitches, and the defenders in Scotland. His Dad's side are Celtic fans aren't they? So he might see us as an option.

  6. I'd take him but it won't happen as he'll be on a massive wage.

  7. I'm sure he's earned enough money through his career to take a hefty wage drop to play CL football, pay as you play deal would suit us.His experience of CL football would not go amiss.

  8. too injury prone

  9. Flip side of the argument is that he'd be great to have around the likes of Tony Watt and James Keatings.

  10. It wouldn't suit him though unfortunately, there will be a club down south willing to pay him the guts of 50k a week. If he agreed to take a significant pay cut, and take a pay-as-you play deal then it would be a definite yes from me. A fully fit Michael Owen is still a very good player, and would get a barrel load of goals up here

    get ta fu..

  12. Yeah, he ticks the experience box, which we need. I'd only be for it if he was willing to take a big pay cut, which would both make the move possible and demonstrate real commitment. If he's going to put a major dent in our transfer budget and wage bill, no way.

No thanks. Think he is more into his horses than his football now anyway

Pretty sure he took a massive drop in wages to pay for Unt and was only on about £20,000 a week. Don't want any more people coming up here to top up their pensions.

  15. Was nearer 50k I heard

  16. Same here.

was only on about £20,000 a week.:56: aye he's struggling on by!

  17. Was 20K a week this season rest made up in goal bonus / win bonus / games played etc.
