Cheers FU. First I've heard of that story tbh. Wont complain at him for back-up, but whats the problem with Boruc, Marshall and then a young boy? Just dont see the point in ditching Marshall on loan and then signing a goalie..

I think Marshall requested to go on loan. He needs first team football at his age, don't think WGS actually wanted him to go.

So, let me get this straight. Marshall wants first team football, loan move - fair enough. However, here is our present scenario...Boruc stays in goals for rest of season, then Brown gets * off at no games. Brown becomes in same position as Marshall, then Marshall comes back. Are they both their so they can talk to eachother about their want for first team football?:87:

Unless Brown has been signed to possibly flog him somewhere for a bit of £ then I see no reason in his presence at Celtic Park.

Another Rangers man not good enough to get a game.

    Great.

He's far better than Marshall or any other keeper celtic have at the moment apart from Boruc. There's no chance he'll make the start 11 if Boruc is fit though.

This is all because Brown is looking for a move back to the central belt to be closer to his family... Plus he wants to get in contention for the Scotland squad. Not happy to see him leave but if doesn't want to be with us then he can leave... We've got a great reserve keeper who should have no problems making the step up... You already saw a taste of him earlier this season!

Calry have also been linked to signing Rab Douglas, hope to * we don't!

(Murphy don't forget who was playing in goal for Rangers when he was trying to break through...)

Surely if he wants to get into the Scotland squad, he'd stay put at the place where hes actually getting a game because he wont at Celtic.

But we have Boruc. Who is the no.1 and will always be when fit.

Why sign another keeper when we still have Marshall and McGovern if he is loaned out. It's a complete waste of good talent. He is the one of the best keepers in the league but he will not get a game here. We keep signing Rangers men who aren't good enough. That's all I meant.

It would make sense, but he doesn't seem to think Caley is the place to do that. Which is fair enough to be honest! Apparently Falkirk and Hibs have shown intrest in him to...

Personally, If I was him, I'd go to one of those 2 clubs. More chance of first team action, more chance of Scotland call-up.

I think it's fair to say Marshall has no future at Celtic... Every game he plays you seem to get pumped. One hit wonder that probably let the hype get the best of him!

I agree 110% with you but he's probably going to let the £'s persuade his judgement

Brown has been at Rangers and decided he doesn't want to sit on the bench so why would he do it at Celtic?

Plus buying Brown would be a dab in the back to Marshy who has done well for us

My vedict-Will not happen although Brown deserves a move to the English Championship

Can't imagine * be getting that much £ at Celtic if he signs. If he considers £ more highly than first team football and a possible Scotland call-up then that's fair enough, he'll regret it before long.

Not sure about a long term signing of a new goalie but I think Marshall desperately needs a loan period, maybe even next season too. I think he is a great young goalie but he needs dozens of games in a row in a 1st team environment. Even better if he plays for a team where he will be under pressure with the goal getting bombarded a bit. I think WGSs plan may be to get Marshall enough experience so he is ready to replace Artur if he goes in the next two years. That would be another fortune saved by our youth policy.
