Would be an outstanding deal. Would love this, would be perfect cover for Izzy when he's injuryed then once he's back we could play him at centre half easy. Wont get my hopes up though.

Sky putting 2 + 2 together. Everton are total skint also.

    Non story in my opinion.

Would take Ridgewell, but dont think we could afford him.

Can't see it but he is a decent defender who is also a threat at the other end of the park.

Don't think there's anything in this at all.

    He's a good player.

To be honest, Sky are usually one of the better places for transfers. However, Everton have to sell in order to buy new players.

We definitely need a striker, you're right Alsy, but I'd like another CB in as well to partner Kelvin Wilson. Watching Big Dan yesterday was torture, he's a bombscare.

It would be an outstanding coup if we got him, but I can't see it.

Can see Newcastle going in for him, they're desperate for a LB.Would be a great acquisition for us though.

    * aye defends better than Izzy at left back for me wanted him here before not as good at attacking but he is a better defender.

Just as good at centre back too .

Everton are skint atm, but as it says, if they sell Baines or Jagielka then they could have the funds to get him. I think he would pick Everton over us due to the EPL:38:.

He's more of a CB than a LB imo, and he's by far better than any of the CBs we have just now.

Was just about to post this - oh well...

Would defo take Ridewell - decent player, would do a job at LB and also provide competition for CB as well.

And with Big Dan not getting any younger, not to mention it seems he's about to be shot by some of the people on the forum/web, an experienced CB who still has a few years in him will do just fine!

    This would give us;

LB; Izzy, Ridgwell (Mulgrew & Matthews as well)
CB; K Wilson, Mulgrew, Maj, Rogne, Loovens, Wanyama, (Ridgewell here also)
    RB; M Wilson, Cha, Matthews

Plenty of defensive options and the ability to eventually shift some of those simply not good enough...
