Lennon.

Discussion in 'Celtic Chat' started by Tommybhoy1994, Mar 25, 2010.

  1. according to sky sports news sources, players have been told that Mowbray has left the club and that Neil Lennon has been asked to take over as first team manager.

Watching this on sky sports news right now, not official yet.

Lennon ain't even had a game in charge yet and already people saying in other threads he ain't the man for the job (even temporarily)!

FFS give the man a chance til the end of the season before you say we need someone tactical. How do we know Lennon ain't a tactical genius?

He was a leader on the park and in the dressing room, organizer on the pitch.
Dont see that changing if hes given full control, right behind the guy, he will motivate the team til the end of the season when we will hopefully get the experienced guy were dying for. It will be a good experience for Lennon who will hopefully be able to take the job full time one day

A lot of people are saying Lennon is just a cheerleader and not a manager, just because Lennon hasnt managed a team before does not mean he can't do it. Everyone has to start somewhere.

I expect him to actually motivate the players and bring fire and passion that hasn't been seen in the Hoops for far to long...A Scottish Cup would be nice as well.

Imagine him at half time if McGeady isn't performing? Anyone else remember those 2 at Dunfermline?

Thats exactly what has been missing. I think we have good players at the club who need organisation and motivation. I think Lennon should be given a chance.

You know I was thinking the same myself. In saying that McGeady is a few years older, hopefully not as foolish to try take on Lennon.

I would like not to lose the league more than 10 points and the Scottish Cup

Right now I don't have any expectations for Lennon, he has got a tough job to lift these players after whats gone before.

I jus hope he can have a decent wee run.

Why cant he be our manager next year? Who else would we get? Paul Lambert? Not to mention Lennon would be free and we know he can at least motivate the players, and dominate with a reserve side.
