I wanted to learn German and also Irish and Scots Gaelic but was blocked from doing so.
Although German was on the curriculum the Headmaster at my High School refused to allow it to be taught.
    Only allowed French and Spanish.
As for the others, it's a shame but they were never on the syllabus.

I wrote down Irish and Spanish and was given Irish and French, dropped French in 3rd year when you had to drop some classes for GCSE, * hated it.

Probably Scotch Gaelic and Dutch as I used to go with burds from the Hebrides and Amsterdam, and I would have loved to have whispered sweet nothings in the ears in their own languages, when I was winching them. :icon_mrgreen:

Wasn't blocked from me but I wish I was thought the Irish language in a way that didn't make me detest it.

Loved Spanish by the end of school and wouldn't mind picking it up again and becoming fluent eventually.

Irish teacher in 5th and 6th year was the only teacher ive ever told to go * themselves, irish is taught obviously completely wrong if the majority of people can learn it for 10-13 years and not be able to string a sentence (me included)

I wasn't blocked from doing any. I did French, German, Spanish, Latin and Hungarian (extra-curricular). My French teacher was going to take a Russian class in sixth year for me but I moved school.

I'd have liked to have done one or two of the following:

    Greek
    Catalan
    Serbian and Croatian
    Norwegian, Danish or Swedish
    Dutch
    Arabic
    Farsi
    Scottish or Irish
