    The Spanish La Liga fixtures are due to be released any day now, so I figured this thread could be created to begin the discussion of the upcoming season.

    Some of the notable transfers up to this point;

    Atletico Madrid

    In - Angel Correa, Mario Mandžukić
    Out - Diego Costa, David Villa

    Barcelona

    In - Claudio Bravo, Ivan Rakitić, Marc-André ter Stegen
    Out - Victor Valdés, Alexis Sánchez, Carles Puyol, José Manuel Pinto, Cesc Fàbregas

    The Spanish supercup is scheduled for August 16th.

    Fantastic piece of business by Barcelona. Huge loss for Liverpool as well regardless of what is said in the media and the like about the guy. They'll do well to replicate the sort of success they had last season without Suarez leading the line.

    I am sure that he will score tonloads of goals for them, but he is a absolute animal who should never be on a football pitch. Zlatan might be a cocky *, but he is a great sportsman.

    And Zlatan was not that bad that people make it out to be, even though he was injured quite alot, and clearly very unhappy he scored a fair amount of goals.

    My dislike for Barca has nothing to do with Zlatan (belive it or not)

    Aye that's her.

    I was a bit surprised when i saw the odds for this year. Real 10-11 n Barca5-4 not sure the gap between the two is that big tbh

    Barcelona squad is far too small I think, will Suarez be able to play with Messi? We shall see.

    Do not like Neymar, Suarez needs a boot up the * and then some. But * it, doesn't mean I wont keep following the club. Second to Celtic of course.

    Should be a good year in La Liga, see what Atletico can do to follow up last season. Kroos at Real, Suarez at Barcelona. Interesting.

    Barcelona desperately need to tie up more signings, particularly in defence. Does their ban kick in after this window? I would look at selling Alves, bringing in a younger player. Same goes at centre half. I like Alba, but there's not much cover there either. If I was the manager I'd prefer to see Mascherano and Busquetes pushed further forward into midfield and not worrying about what is behind them so much.

    Kroos would be a much better signing for Barca, too, with Xavi and Iniesta fading.
