Love the big man but he needs dropping for a game or two

No he doesn’t need dropping, we need to realise he’s very young and as good as he is, he isn’t the finished article and never has been. Let him learn, he’s good enough to make up for the odd mistake here and there.

I thought he waa fantastic in the first half. He could have done better for their goal but other than that he was covering the defence well.

    Had a fine game.

His decision making for the goal was a basic defensive error.

He’s learning on the job though, he is still highly inexperienced as a centre half. Particularly at this level.

His attitude and determination have brought him to this point but nights like tonight will teach him plenty.

Towards the end he was * Colosall as well, and see that Bastos trying to sucker him into a penalty at the end? Contrast that to Rennes. He’s learning from his mistakes.

Thought that as well but after watching it again , he had to cover the centre and no go too early ,but the pass was really good and no one tracked the scorer .

  7. Looked like the Ajer we know today..

Don't think he lost the ball once coming out with it either..

    Runs were fantastic..

The papers are saying that Leicester have scouts following Ajer.

Hopefully we can bamboozle them into thinking Hendry is Ajer.

Surely no need to scout him, manager will know him inside out.
20 Million plus Benko as a starter......next summer.

I thought the same thing about Rodgers knowing the player already. Benko hasn't started a game for Leicester yet this year other than a couple of starts for the U23's & could be available on loan again in January.

Love Ajer to bits but struggled tonight with their striker. Similar to the last time he played against Brophy at Killie

Thought Jullien was giving him a bit of a hard time tonight, but KA came through it well.

Not easy to keep the concentration and focus, with these games, and if anything Jullien was the player who’s standards dropped regarding concentration.

big Kris will do for me

  19. Agree, although they never attacked a lot he lost guys too easily and hesitated to go for headers and dived into tackles too early.

I think we should defend against diddy teams by mainly letting them get the ball down and turned and then we mop up from their poor quality. Ajer seems a bit like Jozo in that he always wants to win the ball straight away and can get turned or took out if he dives into a tackle.

  20. How bad was he?

Kept getting caught on the ball. Kept getting ran off. If Doidge was half decent he'd have scored the one he just peeled off him in the box but couldn't reach..

Was nowhere for the second. Wasn't really anywhere for their first although it was fortuitous..

Deadly serious even though we won 5-2 I think he was diabolical today..
