Guess this should be in ex players now.

Good luck to him, didn't want him when we signed him but one of our best £ for £ buys ever, super player.

miss him,he gave us so many good memories.Always had time for the fans as well.I'd like to see him back at the club in the future,in some role, but hope he gets football somewhere else (Hibs?) as he seems keen to play.

Hopefully gets a good footballing team where he can be the focal point. Would hate for him to end up down in the English Championship with the ball sailing over his head constantly.

Still a season in him if he can get fit

  6. Almost 34 and been out for a while with injuries that can cripple you late in your career..

Not sure it'll be that much of a coup now..

The SPFL is going to be decent to watch this year outwith us as Hibs, Hearts and Aberdeen are building decent enough sides to make it interesting in their battle for 2nd.

Former Celtic star Kris Commons has revealed former manager Ronny Deila's regime was 'draining', despite insisting he had no issue with the Norwegian.

The former Nottingham Forest and Derby County man left Parkhead in the summer after six years with the club - in which he netted 91 goals and lifted eight trophies during a wildly successful spell.

Commons struggled for game time under now Valerenga boss Deila and admitted that it was a difficult phase in his career.

He told BBC Scotland: “I never not got on with Ronny. It was just, I thought I was in the peak of my career, where I was probably playing the best football of my career, or certainly coming off a season where I had been at the top of my game.

“Then I found it very difficult that I wasn’t playing as much football as what I wanted to.

“There were certain aspects of my game that Ronny wanted to implement, obviously the high press and the fitness levels and things like that off the ball and not so much on the ball.

“If I was narrow-minded, a bit naive I used to think the things that I were doing on the pitch with the ball used to compensate it. I think Ronny just seen it as a whole kind of team thing, a whole picture."

The midfielder spoke of how there were aspects of Deila's philosophy that impressed the player but said ultimately it just too much all at once.

He said: “When he first came in, there was changes that were being made in a real positive way. The way that we were playing, the way he wanted to get the ball back as quickly as possible.

“There were results that didn’t go his way. There were a lot of players like James Forrest and Tom Rogic weren’t even in the squads or even on the bench, weren’t training with us.

“He was trying to change probably too much all in one go.

“And obviously the language barrier as well, it was difficult to try and really know what he wanted.

“It didn’t mean we weren’t trying as hard as we wanted to, we were still trying to win and things.

“It was just getting frustrating, we were crashing out of Europe, we were getting beat in the league, we weren’t as fit as what we should of been.

“The whole diet thing was draining everyone’s mind, not only in the dressing room but outside of it as well.”

Meanwhile, Commons has refused to rule out a return to Easter Road where he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season under Neil Lennon.

He added: “A lot of people know that me and Neil really get on. But not only that, I really enjoyed my time at Hibs. It’s a good time to be a part of the league.

“I said on a station the other day that, you know, it is in the pipeline.

“I think what they’re doing at the minute, along with the likes of Hearts and Aberdeen, they’re really investing in this league and investing in players to make them better and try to bridge the gap between them and Celtic.”

Aye. Pretty * how his last few years with us went. He deserved better after all he did at the club. Should have been given a proper send off after the league was won instead of just a friendly.
