Kille have accepted a bid in the region of £500K from Rangers for Kris Boyd. The SPL top scorer will have transfer talks with them today. I'm a big fan of Boyd, as to score the amount of goals he has with Kilmarnock this season, I think he might score many more with better service. I would like to have seen him at CP although I don't think he would get a game when he first joined. Do you think he would have done well here?

He's a Rangers Fan I don't want them at Celtic they could miss chances on purpose or something, he's where he belongs at Mordor.

I don't think he's any better than what we've got. Gotta remember thats it's different scoring for Killie than it is for the Old Firm. Not many teams set their stall out against Killie. Especially with Jim Jeffries in charge.

Nah a think he's the next Nacho Novo tbh, think he'll be no a bad player in the penalty box, but * outside it. Plus as has been said he's a hun, a'd prefer someone like Riordan.

Boyd is only 21 and so is younger than both Beattie and Maloney.

    The guys got great potential.

He would be a decent signing but not an outstanding or a bad signing. He wouldn't prove himself better than Beattie if ya catch my drift.

He's like Andy Cole at Newcastle, loads of goals because the style of play and Beardsley. Went to Man Utd and had Giggs & Beckham etc in their prime and didn't live upto his potential. He should of been better than Van Nistelrooy with that type of service and the potential shown at Newcastle.

Looks like I'm in the monority!

I just think he's got fantastic potential - Hartson and Sutton won't be here forever.

Boyd is tall, quick and deadly. He's top scorer in the SPL so I'm not sure what else he can do.

He'll probably be the bain of Celtic for a couple of years when he goes to Rangers.

Murphy7, even if we bidded for him, its doubtful that he'd be really interested in us because his blood is hunnish blue

Beattie came up through the Rangers set-up.

If there good enough, then we should attempt to sign them. Money is the main factor in the vast majority of deals.

He's just another Steven Thompson. I actually though that young guy they've got Ross McCormack deserves a run in their team but they obviously continue to have no faith in their youth players hence this signing of their's.

Going to assume either Nieto, Jeffers, Lovenkrands and Thompson are making way for Boyd then are they?

Lovenkrands may leave in the summer, Jeffers.....is crap, Thompson can't do it and who's Nieto? So maybe McLeish is looking ahead to next season. We should be looking at our options aswell

Don't think we're missing out much. Not only do we already have top quality strikers Hartson, Sutton, Zurawski, Maloney, Beattie but he's not that great a player. He's the top scorer in the SPL, might sound good, but don't think he'll be that good a player in Europe. Let the huns have him, give it a year before hes turned into a diddy, or they've sold him.

  19. Aye right, look at Craig Beattie, his father's into the Orange Order and he's been raging at his son playing for Celtic. From what I hear, glad he's doing well but disappointed that it's at Celtic.

Beattie's been a good player for us.

Anyway, I feel Boyd wouldn't do so well, he's not a great player and should stay doing well for Killie, he wont make the grade for Rangers and will turn out to be another overrated player of theirs once he scores a few then struggles, he'll be another one of their average players IMO at the most. I never think he'd be good enough for Celtic as we have some great strikers and why add to them with an average player?
