Quality isn’t it! The * from Daredevil is a great lead,as is Aidan Gillen,in fact they’re all brilliant actors.There’s something about Irish television,they have the ability to make really good,gritty,realistic crime series.Love/Hate still one of the best tv series I’ve ever seen.It ‘s putrid how underrated it is.The film ‘Cardboard Gangsters’ written by and starring John Connors is well worth checking out as well.

 

Have to admit I wasn't mad about the first series.

Might of been a subconscious local thing, can tell when Irish actors are putting on the Dublin gangster persona

Its based off the Kinahan/Hutch feud & was probably expecting more but have heard series 2 is brilliant so might jump back in, still find it mad Charlie * is in it.

Watched love/hate again recently & forgot how good it was, really picked up after season 1.

Intermission isn't really known outside Ireland but its * brilliant, one of the most quotable films in Irish history.

 

Really good show yeah I enjoyed it.

 

What’s this about without spoilers lads? I’m going to watch it purely because my brother and SIL raving about it and they never get sucked into any series ever. It’s made me curious

 

Basically loosely based on the Kinahan cartel in Dublin. Ever see love hate? Pretty similar to that in some ways but still very different in others. Not quite as good imo but that’s no slight. Thought Kin was excellent. Plenty things going on to keep you hooked. Definitely give it a go

 

Never watched this but will at some point. Was a big fan of Love/Hate, been meaning to give it a rewatch.

This book about the Kinahans is well worth a read if anyone’s interested.

 

Great show although not as good as Love/Hate still would highly recommend watching
