    * so he is :smiley-laughing002:

    Might have no choice then unless Mulgrew is fit or Deila chooses to go with Blackett again which will probably be the case.

    Ideally will be Tierney then. Throw him in at the deep end

    That's what I mean..

    Mulgrew to slow for LB now, especially in Europe. Blackett is a CB..

    So we may as well throw him in, could be the making of him..:50:

    We have to plan for Blackett not being here for next years qualifiers therefore the youngster must play against Fernabache.

    I'd prefer for us to go for the win (at home, especially) now versus preparing for qualifiers next year. I don't love Blackett as a left back, but I think that, right now, he'd give us a better chance of dealing with Fenerbahce's attack. Actually, throwing either Lustig or Janko on the left and the other on the right would be the best option with Izzy out.

    Play the kid vs Fener. Cant be any worse than the Mulgrew vs Malmo debacle.

    Bench Saidy and start Tierney at LB. Won't do Kieran's confidence much good if he's sitting on the bench behind a 19 year old right back.

    Couldnt lustig slot in at LB as long as he stays defensive and doesnt risk bombing forward

    Tierney has done well every time I've seen him, but I'm not sure he's quite ready for Fenerbahce yet. Would be a ballsy decision and fantastic if it works out, but...

    Thinking on set pieces we need some height so wouldn't be surprised if the back 4 is Lustig Efe Boyata/Jozo Blackett. Would rather see Janko Efe Jozo Tierney, would give us a lot more pace down the lines.

    It's mental we are having to consider that as an option.

    Tierney should get the chance.

    I'd play him. For me this EL campaign is all about experience for next year's CL qualifiers and you never know whether Izzy will be available for them so I'm all for the young lad getting some big game experience, even if it makes us slightly weaker on the night.

    Definitely, only in paying him in games like Fenerbahce will we discover if he can be a valuable member of a CL squad.

  17. I'd agree with that, kids never gonna have the experience unless they play to get the experience in the first place.

    I think as long as the rest of the squad is fully fit then I don't see why he can't be given the LB slot with then a full strength squad around him.

    He looked nervous at times, but as the game went on I think he started to relax. Caught out a few times, but he looks a prospect.
