There has been alot of talk about whether to sell him or not, If we do get into europe at all, CL or Europa, he would be starting for me, he is a class act as a deep lying playmaker, dictates play and has a long range of passing and then you bring in his long range shooting. Basically he is our best technical mid who cannot be fully utilised in the SPL because its hard to always play football properly, if he did go to a decent team in the EPL I have no doubts he would be quality as well. He has also shown his class in the olympics.

I think he'll get in the Olympics team of the tournament(if there is one?) probably been the best CM there.

    Totally agree
But think he can be utilised at parkhead and in Europe this season if he stays. I felt he was one of our better players in the Europa league last year

I would always have him playing in home games too, as he creates and scores more than our other CM's but the problem is you cant really leave out Brown, Ledley, Wanyama or Kayal, never mind 2 of them. So it will be hard for him to get a game. Our strength in the midfield is a headache as a fan, Lennon must feel well under pressure on who to play.

He's being wasted here unless he plays in European games which is hardly going to be 30 games per season.

It would be better for the club an Ki if we sold him I think although we would be losing a good player.

If we can get £7million for him I'd rather have the money.

    As a player I don't like him.

Complete enigma now for me, waited for game after game to see this deep lying playmaker everyone goes on about only to be told he doesn't suit Scottish football. Well a) he has been * in Europe and b) neither was Naka yet he adapted, plus he wasn't a 6 foot plus brick shithouse.

We dont play in his style though.

    If we played...

    Kayal Ledley
    Ki
    Forrest ----- Commons
    Hooper

Ki would play really well in that, with freedom to get forward. But then the front 3 isnt really ideal.

Weird though, id say the majority of our fans wouldnt pick him in the team. Yet id say he'd walk into teams like Atletico Madrid, Udinese, Sevilla, Lyon, Everton, Liverpool and play for them who are better teams than us.

Probably sums up our League and style of play.

Personally too I wouldnt rule out Ki from getting a game at Milan, Inter, Spurs, Valencia or Arsenal either.

I've always wondered how Ki would fare if he was used in the following role...........

    CM------CM

    RW----------Ki----------LW

    ST

If he played in that advanced position it would take a lot of the defensive responsibilities away from him, allow him the chance to take more shots at goal from just outside the box and he would have more opportunities to use his passing ability to thread balls through to the striker.

It might not work out but it would be interesting to see how he would do.

i love the KI , i would not be upset at all if we kept him, very good player and maybe one of the best passers we have in the team imo

It would suit him but the problem is the two wide players and striker.

    If we had....

    Kayal Ledley
    Ki
    Moravcik Commons
    Hartson

I think we could play like that as the front 3 would score probably 60+ goals a season. But Forrest, Commons and Hooper wouldnt be ideal as Forrest would benefit as a winger to cross into the box, Commons benefits more from being central and Hooper would do best playing off a targetman. So the formation wouldnt suit the front 3 enough for us to play it.

Have to disagree. In fact Paddy McCourt has done more in 2 games at centre mid than Ki has in tens of games.

Wanyama, Ledley and Kayal are far superior modern central midfielders.

The biggest indicator of how he has not lived up to his billing is the amount of excuses he has. The latest being we don't set up in a way that suits him. Again, I'm sure Naka didn't fancy being played at right mid but he produced it for Celtic time and time again from there.

Would love to keep him, he's an excellent player. Big fan of him.
His perfomance in the olympics has been top class.

Did the commentator say Man City were looking at him too? im sure thats what he said, he mentioned Ki and then something about Man City being linked with everyone but Ki has had a standout tournament.

Putting 2 and 2 together here, ki to arsenal, song to barca! And your right, he would fit into arsenal perfectly!

Do these teams realize that he's our fifth choice centre-mid? Arsenal in for him now too apparently. :56:

If that's the case they can pay the kind of price they would pay for a similar ability player in the EPL
