I don't mind if people prefer Ledley or Kayal - I just disagree. But you on the other hand have simply been talking garbage. You know the Lubo comparison was silly yet you didn't let that little inconvenience stop you.

And I still don't think you've managed to seperate "having a quiet game" from "going AWOL whenever we need him". Somebody pointed out numerous excellent performances already but generally you don't like to confront the reasonable arguments put forward, instead concentrating on a crap comparison someone made elsewhere.

Hard-on for Ki? I like any player that plays well - Izaguirre, (last season's) Kayal/Commons, Hooper, etc. I have a bigger hard-on for people who fundamentally don't understand the purpose of a central midfielder.

if he doesnt want to be at celtic then punt him in january and get the defence sorted

  3. Punt him January. If we got over 5m for him grab it!!!.Use it for 2 CB's and if still close enough to the Manks we may still claw this back.

The person I quoted made the comparison I addressed it hence the reason I quoted that particular person. Where within quoting your post have I mentioned Lubo? You are waffling nonsense.

For every good performance (and there have been a few) there have been numerous more innefectual ones. Neat passing will only get you so far when you are supposedly a 'playmaker' a tag I find cringeworthy based on the fact despite him having the attributes he doesn't have the grit and determination to show them on a regular basis.

Contrast that to someone like Ledley, who has yet to give a performance short of 100% in a Celtic jersey.

To suggest that Ki has anywhere near the talent that Lubo has is totally laughable. Lubo was a player that Zinedine Zidane looked up to. That should put that in context.

At the moment Ki is a super talented footballer who lacks consistency. He plays well for a few games then goes cold for a few games. And yes, other do it as well, but Ki is a high profile player and there are people here who think that he is almost irreplaceable.

The fact that he now wants to leave should be no surprise. This is a player that sees us a stepping stone and no more. To suggest that we should hold onto him for a few seasons and sell him at a fantastic profit is pie in the sky. He will be off the next time a serious bid comes in. My only concern is that we may not get the transfer fee that we may have got for him in the summer, @ £8m.

I am happy for players to use us as a stepping stone to elsewhere, as it means they will be motivated to prove themselves, but Im not going to get too sentimental about them and it will work both ways. So if a good offer comes in and suits us then bye bye and thanks.

Ki will be long forgotten about when we are still reminiscing about the wonderful Lubomir Moravcik.

Richard Dunne would be a vital pafrt of our team while Ki , although technically gifted, is not a vital part of our team. Dunne would give us 3 years of consistency at least.

Id like Dunne but at no more than 2 or 3 million. Ki was never my favourite midfielder so I wouldnt be too unhappy to see him go

Unfair to criticise Ki because one person has compared him to Moravcik. It is not like he has come out and says this himself. If I were to say Ledley was as good as Moravcik would those who have ridiculed Ki in turn ridicule Ledley.

I'm not ridiculing Ki mate, as I said; he's technically gifted. However he is not an essential part of the team. If we had Dunne he would be arguably our best player. Him and Mulgrew at the back with Matthews and Izzy either side would be immense.

    Hello, everyone,
(First of all, English is not my first language, so please understand if there are some(...many;;) errors...)

Well, as a matter of fact, The newspaper in Korea tends to exaggerate or twiste the player's interviews, sometimes resulting in making unnecessary and unexpected issues and I think this article might be one.

I just want to say Ki loves to play soccer in Scotland, I think he really loves the place 'cos he once even said in twitter, Scotland is so beautiful that He sometimes even feels like just settling down there if married...(I was surprised by that comment because he loves his mother country Korea so much and miss his hometown, so I thought Scotland must be really beautiful...:smile1:)

And He also expressed uncomfortable feelings in twitter, after reading that newspaper article(which includes his interview), --I'm sorry I can't translate the exact his words into English but anyway I felt he was upset about that newspaer article. As he is young, I think he doesn't treat media that skillfully and He has been hurt by media several times.

Anyway, I think He just wanted to focus on playing soccer well at Celtic now. He isn't eager to move. I think He wants to be more helpful player at Celtic (I think that's why he was upset about that newspaper)

I was also upset and sad because accroding to this article, he might sounds like just focusing on moving team.

Well, Of course I don't know exactly what is in his mind, and I admit anything could happen in future, and I hope Ki could realise his dream as a footballer some day, but I'm very sure that he loves his team so much and tries hard to satisfy his fans (and for himself of course) at the moment. Right now, He is eager to be a good celtic player, not focusing on moving.

He is a smart, warm-hearted person with a good sense of humour, But He is not a English native speaker so I think his English interview might not be able to express his feelings/thoughts 100 percent. hmm...Language gap *sigh* :redface1:

Well...so, I just wanted to say, please do not trust that much Korean newspaper(especially internet news),

I'm just a baby in English;;; but I wanted to write this because there could be some misunderstaings about Ki because of that newspaper....... In spite of many errors,;;; I hope you could understand what I want to mean..(at least, I'd be happy if you don't laugh that much about my mistakes;;;)

and I also wanted to say how he loves Scotland and his team.

    Thank you for reading,
Hope all of you have a great season !!!

Wish you all the good lucks !!!

I don't buy that article at all.

Twisted article or lost translation I would think because Ki doesn't seem unhappy here at all.

I think people tend to forget Ki's still young and has a lot of developing to do. Even if it's your opinion that he goes missing at times, consistency is something he might add as he develops. The fact is, he has a huge amount of raw talent. I really can see him moving on to bigger things.

I'll never buy the media and turn on our players without clear facts or quotes.

He is a really good young player heading for the top in a couple of years IMO. However, we cant afford to let any player get to the last 18 months of his contract or we will be sold short.

I never said anyone was world class . I'm saying you can't slate them for not being world class . We are never gonna have world class again , that time has been and gone .
Infact , in our * league we should be greatfull we have the players we've got, because if I wasn't a Celtic fan , there's no way I would come to the spl .

Richard Dunne? I'd love to see that, the man is a rock and has the heart of a lion. Best irish CB since Paul Mc Grath.:celt_2:
