Its always good to get the oppositions view of things.. so I have been reading opinions from Man Utd supporters from the game earlier.. If your a Celt fan they are quite positive.. I got the feeling there was agreement from Man Utd of the record fans that celts did better than the result suggests.. which is in line with the views expressed by some on this website.. remembering the build up to last season and the positive friendly results.. when it came to doing the real business the season was a flop... I had heard some critical views of Neil Lennon,s management appointment.. even before it was made.. and was inclined to fall into the same negative thinking as others.. in esence bullshit that because Neil had no experience of note the projections should be measured as low ahead.. so lets look positively to the new season and I for one though understandably nervious due to results of late look positively to the oncoming season :bbpd:

Pre season is just to get the team match fit, results mean nothing at this stage, but I'm sure we will get a couple of wins under our belt before the Inverness game, including Braga

couldnt care less what their fans think, there will always be bias, i prefer our own fans opinions. I will only gauge our side when we play our strongest team.

Individually we were poor and we gave the ball away cheaply like last season.

Well, I like to know what other fans think. It makes me proud to know we have a good standing repution among other clubs. We should strive to keep that. I also don't think our results this pre-season foretell anything about the season ahead, our team is still in transition and there is a lot to be determined. I look positive albeit a little apprehensively at the future :50:

Yes I agree.. I think tho still to be 100%..and tho we may doubt the strength of a great club..the proof is in the eating..lets be positive in 10/11 and make it a celts season...:50:

I was at the game in Toronto. Celtic held their own and with a little luck could have won the game. Celtic looked like the better team in the 2nd half.
the final score is very deceiving.

A few of my friends are Man Utd diehards, and they admit the result flattered, a draw would have been fair. I watched the game and Celtic were as good , if not better than the opposition, especially in the second half. If they can improve (remember this was only the 2nd match) then I'm looking forward to this season.

So far they tell us exactly what lies for the season ahead and that is that we deperately need at least one goalscorer. 2 games, 1 penalty speaks volumes imo.

Actually, I can concede that point. You are right. We definitely do need quality up front. What I meant was we shouldn't be too negative about our performance this pre-season because the formula of our team really hasn't been decided yet, we're still in that transitional period.
