He's conducted himself with a lot of class, the whole time he's been here..

And that's something I wasn't expecting when we first signed him.

Apparently he was planning to leave the announcement till the end of the season, but based on the January transfer activity he felt he had to put a rocket up the recruitment team......otherwise Lawwells great Aunty Peggie would be our starting keeper next season....

Should be offered a coaching role, played at the highest level and seems a good lad in the dressing room.

We will be downsizing next season and for the next few years, board will be delighted. Bain and Benjamin for the next few years

You'd put everything you own on Bain playing our first game next season, any normal club would have a keeper signed before we even return for pre-season.

We'll be lucky to have a new keeper before August.

Would love for him to get a coaching role. Class act to have at the club and to be fair he’s been * hot recently.

Watch us still refuse to sign a keeper though :56:

Agree with this, * I'm probably guilty of it too.

Was fantastic during his first season, and solid during his second. This season was probably a step too far for him, but even then he's far from the worst in the last few months, infact we drop more points if not for him.

Guy is a class act, hopefully we give him a proper sendoff.

I know we slate the club for the jobs for the bhoys, but considering his experience in the game, at any other club, Joe Hart being offered s coaching roll would make absolute sense.

I doubt very much the board didn’t know this was coming, makes the January transfer window even more farcical.

Joe has been brilliant for us, he made mistakes yes but also saved us a lot of points and his leadership was clear to see. Would make a great coach I think.

He probably played a big part in Ange doing well also, a big character in a weak/young/new team from the start and he played Ange's style perfectly even though it probably didn't suit him, mind him at the start always 10-20 yards outside his box like a deeper centre-back.

He never panicked about passing a ball and his quick distribution worked really well, he was always switched on to doing everything exactly as it was supposed to be done right from the start without any fuss.

Compare that to Craig Gordon being asked to pass from the back and chip balls to the full-backs under Rodgers, he was absolutley rattled and a mad panic merchant and crumbled.

You take it for granted but a lot of keepers would have fell apart under Ange, Gordon for sure probably even Forster who's * would have collapsed at coming that far out his box to play football.

We were never gonna address his replacement until he was gone let's be realistic..especially when we have bain and siegeist getting paid big money to act as back up and there is zero mechanism to give anyone outside of Joe hart any significant game time.

I wasn't expecting that either tbf however having meet him a few times he is genuinely a good * who has taken to Us/The Club. Early days but I wouldn't be surprised to find him being like Sutton with us. Wish him all the best and. as you say, pray he heads off with a final couple fo winners medals in his pocket.

Sums up our recruitment this season our keeper is retiring and their keeper could be included in the England squad a shambles the recruitment the last few windows.

Class act, been calling for an upgrade but he has done a very good job for us since coming in. Last few games he’s gotten us out of trouble few times aswell. Hopefully give him another title for a farewell

He's one of my favourite keepers, along with Boruc and Forster.

He was there when we needed him when we were in free fall thanks to that * Barkas. Despite needing to be replaced last summer, he's turned in some great saves this season.

Definitely want him as a coach here going forward. Played at the highest level, a professional to the core and well aware of what it takes to be a keeper at the top.

Really has been a class act and real winner/leader in a young squad..

I didn't like him at all before he came to us. Thought he was a big flash * of a guy but how wrong was I..

Gave him a bit of stick but he's been a great signing for us overall..

However, i do think this is just another added to a long list of noise off the park that could've been parked for a bit longer. No a massive deal but still..
