I've heard hes supposed to be the funniest most offensive comedian about but its impossible to find any videos of his stuff, even any tv shows he did are nowhere it seems.

Can anyone find anything hes done? mad curious to see what hes like!

"He also actively protects his intellectual property, removing clips of himself from YouTube and torrent sites within hours of their appearance"

There was a clip on YouTube of him from a live show in the 70s or 80s ripping the pish out of Jimmy Saville, calling him a paedophile and in effect everything we know today about him, doubt the clip is still on there.

Remember him being on mainstream TV for a while at that point with his own show, I'm assuming when that clip came to light it was the end of him on the mainstream.

Very funny guy and well worth seeking out, he always reminded me of Marc Bolan

You wont get any of his stuff online. You need to go see him live. Not sure how active he is now but he was still doing a fair amount of dates just few years ago.

Makes Frankie Boyle look like a Saturday evening family light entertainment guy by comparison. Dark as * at times

I went along go see him a few years back and he was really good. He is also known for being a top card trickster too.

He is on tour just now, but just English dates now.

Channel 4 ranked him something like the 14th best ever comedian.

He used to have a programme on the telly years ago, he would sit at a desk and random folk from the audience would come on and talk about any subject they liked then he would basically just rip the * out them. If anybody got aggresive he had a big baldy bouncer to get rid of them.

Always wanted to see him live. I remember he used to be on the telly, was very funny. Absolutely ruthless sense of humour though.

It was the night Peter Stringfellow went on.

JS "What would you like to talk about?"

    PS "Me"

JS "* off"! Then rung the bell.

Many thanks mate, that's the very one, 1989 I now believe is when this clip happened, he clearly didn't give a * to say that as it was common knowledge how dangerous Saville was and quite who he was working with, I think David Icke was the only other person to publicly call him out at that sort of time, in fact it was a wee bit after 1989 when he started mentioning him in his talks and books

He's influenced most of the major UK comedians out there, he was offensive for the time but his jokes would be the norm these days in some live shows and so on. Lots of American comedians have tried to copy some of his style. It's was clever of him to take all the major shows he has done offline as it adds to the mystique he has and his shows tend to sell out quickly. I've not heard anything about him in recent years though but he has a loyal cult following.

If you've ever seen Frankie Boyle live and then you see Sadowitz live you'll see where FB got all his ideas and material from. But the problem is JS takes taboo breaking to such a whole new level you're left wondering why the * you're laughing at such offensive remarks. But it makes sense in a weird way and you have to experience it live to appreciate how he gets away with it. That is the reason he blocked all his material online and tried to get back all the copies of the VHS he released called the Total Abuse Show. He said people who saw him on a screen didn't connect with him and that is why they would have found him utterly offensive.

When Frankie did the same I left feeling quite bad like he'd just ripped some poor woman apart and it just felt like bullying. So there is an art to it.

I think when JS revealed the truth about Saville he was told by lawyers that he had to stop doing that in his show or he would be taken to court and ruined. Plus there was meant to be some nasty people associated with Saville that you didn't want chapping your door.

After Saville died his first live shows after that he came on stage dressed as him with the cigar and basically saying I * told yous ages ago. I actually never knew about this cause I hadn't heard about him till much later.

But anything you think is controversial will seem tame in comparison to what comes out of his imagination.

He's also meant to be one of the world's best close hand card magicians and he does the odd magic trick during his shows. Lots of the year he tours exclusively doing magic and no jokes as the Magic Circle were going to ban him early on in his career for ad libbing.

If you get a chance to see him live, he's usually in Glasgow during the March comedy festival I would recommend it.

Don't sit down the front though, I would not want to be the person he starts talking to in the front rows.
