James Forrest

  1. Glad he's available again, always a good option to bring on. Get him fully match fit for the run in and cup.

He has a ridiculous scoring record against St Johnstone and we play them twice soon. Probably his best chance to get that goal this season.

He does and it very often happens that way even for really quality players that there are some teams that they just always seem to produce against. For sure we have missed Forrest the past couple of months so great to have him back now to give us more depth off the bench.

Around this time last year he also came back into the squad and was able to make a real impact, so hopefully he can do the same again this season over the remaining months.

Was positive straight away and put a dangerous ball in. If Idah lifted his head, he should have played it in early for him too.

Horrendous miss, but a 100% sharp Forrest maybe gets 2 goals today. Give him more minutes.

  11. He deserves a goal, hope he achieves it this season. Good to see him back and looking more like his old self. Hope he gets more game time between now and the end of the season.

Shocker of a miss at the end. Was a good save but he shouldn’t have had a sniff of a chance at saving it.

His miss when Idah played him in was criminal.

Not going to blame Forrest, he's been a very good servant to the club over the years, and he is in the twilight of his career.
But that chance, the whole goal to score from and he blasts it straight at their goalkeeper, he could simply have lofted it over him.
We made their goalkeeper look like Lev Yashin today, by firing balls straight at him.FFS
If you didn't laugh, you would cry :giggle1:

Looked good when he came on, albeit he missed a sitter.

Has a composure on the ball a lot of others don’t have and rarely makes the wrong decision in possession. I’d start him next weekend.

I don't think he can take the blame, he was on for 20 minutes and tried. Had others put the effort him, Yang or McCowan put in maybe its a different result.

Done well when he came on. Him and Engles-first few min- shooting straight at Keeper with the whole goal to aim at, FFS.

Went under the radar a bit but thought he played well. Good to have him back.

Done well first half, typical James, retained possession well, good crisp passing, rarely gives the ball away.
