Islam Feruz?

Anyone think this guy will play any part in the upcoming season?

 

rumour is that he will be away to man city or chelsea soon

hope he stays and goes on and becomes a cracking player for us

 

I've heard that too, also heard he's a bit of an * as well. He owes us some form of loyalty, considering what Celtic, and most importantly Tommy Burns (RIP) did for him and his family.

 

ive not heard this rumour ? any truth to it ? surely not was he not quoted as sayin he wants to make tommy burns proud or sumfing ?

 

While I agree with you that he should feel some loyalty toward the club, the difficult reality is that in modern football no player has or is expected to be loyal to a club. Football has become a sport about money, and nothing less. I hate that it's gone that way, but that's part of the reason I actually get more enjoyment from watching Celtic than jumping on some EPL bandwagon. A lot of players that play for Celtic do it for the love of the club. There's still a little bit of 'old school' left around that club. While I'd love for us to compete at the highest levels of Europe, I hope that part of the club is never lost. If Islam Feruz feels nothing for Celtic, it's better that he's off. He'd not survive the verbal walloping he'd take from the fans when he decided to leave.

 

I've heard it many a time. I think where there's smoke, there's fire. Let's just hope it isn't true and he's actually a nice lad with Celtic in his heart... and that's he's good enough!

 

i reckon all these rumours are bullshit, we aren't a wee diddy club that big clubs are going to take advantage of

 

So much hype for such a young player, he hasnt even broke into the 19s yet just a handful of sub appearances last season, just let him develop with the rest of the prospects we have in the academy
he looks a talent but he can do without the expectations at the age of 16

 

i was on a course for work not long ago. the instructor was nicky henderson an ex spl footballer and his two sons play for the celtic youth teams, he was telling me islam feruz is apparently pretty much signed up for chelsea.. hope its just chinese whispers but.

You missed out "My uncles, brother's, dad's, butler's, sister in law's, kid's babysitter has heard that Chelsea are in for him.

 

No he wont even make the bench just let him progress through the ranks like every other youngster...

 

How old is this guy now ?? seems he has been 14-16 yrs ols for the last 6 yrs or so
