in the eyes of the vast majority of celtic fans; no.

in the eyes of the minority of "irish" rebels (who in fact probably havent ever been to ireland yet alone know of the troubles); most certainly yes.

    No it doesn't.

Being a member of the British army does not make you a 'legalised terrorist' imo.

No, no and no! As for the legalised terrorist statement...better directed at the political "elite" imo :shamrock:

The british army in general, and the men who serve in it are two different things. There are a few posters on here who are either serving, or have served, in the army; I am sure that they would be offended at the suggestion that they are less of a celt as a result.

agree with this; utterly ridiculous to call celtic fans in the forces "lesser celts"

the club is open to all after all: some people seem to forget that

The phenomenon that needs to be eradicated is whiny children - who understand and know absolutely nothing about life - marketing their self-righteous and vacuous sloganeering as the third coming of christ.

    Please end it .

No, a person isn't, or at least shouldn't be, judged based on their occupation, their job has nothing to do with their support of a football club, there isn't some tier when it comes to Celtic supporters, either you are a Celtic fan, or you are not.

As with every single army in the world it consists of both good people and bad people and to label every single person in the army as the same is nothing more than discrimination.

NOTE: ANY TROLLING OR FLAMING IN THIS THREAD WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.

the politicians who send these people into illegal wars are to blame, not those serving currently. No you're not any less of a Celtic fan if you are in the Army, despite my views on some of the actions of the British Army over the years, it's ridiculous to suggest such a thing, and ridiculous to describe someone serving as a terrorist. The real scum here are people like Tony Blair and John Reid.

Each individual has a choice as to whether they sign up or not. You cant blame Blair or Reid for that.

In some ways I agree with you, but what about the fact that the army actively recruits in areas of high unemployment and takes young guys promising to educate them and give them oppertunites that civillian society refuses to offer them?

Due to the benefits of not having conscription. I suppose you can thank your lucky stars you dont live in some of our European neighbours countries or you'd be a fellow terrorist too.

Would you serve in any Army/Navy?

personally I wouldn't serve from a moral standpoint, that's not to suggest I believe they are 'legalised terrorists' but I understand why people would sign up, I know people in the Army, good people and Celtic fans.

Yes it is a choice to join, however have you looked at the opportunities the army offers? Further education, chance to learn a trade, get paid while you study, earn a good wage?

Its an attractive career for those reasons, not everyone joins because they are blood thirsty and a 'terrorist'.

Its a deliberate policy to enlist the poor of this country to kill the poor of other countries for monetary gain. The rich being the beneficiaries of such gain.

If this country was under attack I would be happy to help defend it. Its not and has not been for many a year. As it stand all the army does is occupy lands where it is not wanted so I would never be a part of that. From Ireland to Iraq to Afgan and those that will be subjected to it in the future.
