    As an American I don't have one other than my grandpas old ww2 pistol but that's in a box somewhere. I'll never go out and purchase one not even for hunting as I do bow hunting.

    I'm not really a gun enthusiast, but my father in law keeps some and they can be pretty fun to practice with. I don't see the sense in keeping them for protection, but for hunting and other things, they're not bad.

    I have used a Handgun for protection before but I grew up in a rough neighborhood, also I was in the military and trained how to use a weapons safely, the fact that it is easier for some folks to get a gun than a drivers license is horrible.
