We know they will come at us full pelt in the first 20 mins or so so I just hope that none of our players don't make a rash challenge that would allow whatever dirty masonic hun loving ref the opportunity to send them off. We need to be savvy and deal with their initial blood and snotters approach and then destroy the *.

They often try and rough Kyogo up in the initial spell too. Almost wonder if that's a reason to start Idah instead as he'll handle that better.

Bit of a reductionist argument to whittle it down purely to goals and assists. If Tavernier got to pick who he was up against, I guarantee you Maeda wouldn't be his pick.

They all have their strengths but we're going to need grafters who give us a shift. As I said before I think dropping Maeda would be insane.

Maeda brings so much more than goals and assists in these games. If you prefer the others I’m not gonna say you’re wrong, I’m open to that argument, but Maeda is a very effective player against them and always causes issues and shuts them down incredibly well.

If we had faith in playing an agressive press then from previous games you'd know the combo of Maeda and Kyogo is the way to go.

Regardless though this hun defence needs to be hurried and pressured every chance we get and guys like Maeda are best for that.

I don't think the effect Maeda has down that side of the pitch is overstated at all.

We just need to hope Rodgers sets us up against the huns to get the best out Kyogos strengths. Do that and we win.

    * about and pass without meaning in midfield in attempts to slow the game... we are in trouble.

As long as we turn up and play to our capabilities, I don't give a * who the refs are. We will slap the *.

After the penalty Hearts got at Tynecastle my first thought was to leave. Why am I continuing to watch such blatant cheating. This gives me the exact same feeling. If our board had any spine whatsoever they would point blank refuse to play with that man in charge. HOW THE * IS HE GIVEN THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have to agree. Times gone by it used to be if your good enough it doesn't matter who the ref is.

Now VAR.and the orange * on it are using it to decide the outcome of games.

Hope your right obviously but after Tynecastle when we could have went top, and John Beaton took it upon himself to not only be the VAR official, but be the referee as well and then the powers that be give him this. They are laughing at us. Plain and simple. And remember was it not this clown who gave Joey Garner a yellow card for scudding a Hamilton player with a blatant kick?

Wow, astonishing even for them that they've gone with Beaton above anyone else with his history and what's just happened recently..

Our managers just off a ban for calling him out a few weeks ago. Jeez :giggle1:

I know this is naive in the extreme but surely to * with all this pressure on him and VAR he may have to play it fair :39:

Obviously the * are at it and have been for a long time, but still think we're too good for all of them...IF we play to our potential. If our form isn't great, that's when I'll start to worry about VAR.
