I'm just wondering how people are finding the safe standing area in light of all the talk about it over West Ham. Sounds like a perfect solution to help the Olympic Stadium along so was just hoping for some reviews!
    Cheers

    Looks and sounds great.

Everyone will be trying to get their own standing section in the next few years.

Sit right next to it, it's class but it annoys me the people in it that just stand an don't get involved in the chants.

I thought all seater stadia were a legal requirement in the top leagues in England, unlike here? I'd have thought that was a non starter down there.

Am loving it. Been in 209 for over a decade. Wasn't sure if we were going to stay when it was converted to standing. Glad we did.

Was sitting a couple of sections down from it at the Red Imps game. Some noise from the area that night and just think of how it would be if expanded.

I always enjoyed standing at the games as a youngster, was a great atmosphere and you could stand with those who you travelled to the game with. As opposed to getting to the ground and have folk sitting in different areas.

That is the case at the moment but I think the club need to put on record a support for it because there's a lot of migration issues with people who have been standing for 20 years now in front of kids etc. Becoming a bit of an us vs them issue which needs to be sorted and giving them somewhere to stand settles that and will help generate a bit of atmosphere. Do you know who sets the rules? I would've thought it would've been Dept for Culture, Media and Sport but guessing with the differences it is SFA and English FA?

Sounds great and glad to hear it's doing well. Is it possible to come up for a game and get in that area or is it all season tickets?

With regards to Celtic case. As mentioned earlier, the recommendations of the Taylor report weren't/didn't apply to Scotland. Although some were put in place. Celtic had to make an application to the Glasgow City Council to obtain approval and a safety clearance. Initially Celtic were told it was down to the Scottish Government, however that wasn't true. Indeed, IMO they didn't want to be the ones making the decision and tried to pass the buck.

As for England, it would say it would be a case of lobbying government to relax the previous decision. I struggle to see why it should be an issue these days.

    I think it's great.

One issue I saw last Wednesday was the seated section beside the standing in the LL lower were standing alot of the game. I didn't see an issue with it, but I wonder if the powers that be would have issue.

Liverpool Echo would be apoplectic if it happened.

Aye there was still some burd even last week from a Liverpool supporters group saying how wrong it was and insensitive to all at Hillsborough that died that Celtic had the audacity to do this, * me some attached to that group have created an industry out of this 96 thing whilst completely ignoring common sense, the facts and the fact the world has moved on in terms of safety in stadiums, they are still talking as if its cramming thousands in a corner to get crushed behind a 100 feet fence.

If this lot continue to be vocal with this pish I think someone should invite one of them up to see it for themselves so they can have an insight to what this is all about.

As for West Ham getting it, until that lot stop sticking their head deep in sand there won't be a chance mate.

On a lighter note, I was hearing about 100 season ticket holders turned up at the new stadium yesterday and found that there were no seats in their supposed place and had to stand and watch the game :56:

    They're you go.....you already have standing :50:
