How much are the board to blame ?

Seeing lots of threads about Ronny and rightly so.

But how much of this mess lies at the tables of our board?

I think our frustration should be aimed at them for the pish the have been delivering the past numerous years.

They are and have destroyed what was a respected and at home a feared side throughout europe.

 

they are at the top..they hired the guy,they decided to keep him,and most importantly THEY decided to downgrade, therefore THEY should walk before ronny does

They have NO AMBITION for this club

 

They are the biggest problem, by far..

 

A * of a lot. They should have backed Lennon when they had the chance.

 

They are the architects of this mess no doubt about it. Deila has failed miserably on the football side of things and this requires immediate attention because the 10 is in danger. Get a man in to steady the football ship and I assure you I will direct my contempt to the real villains in this whole mess.

 

I would say they are mostly to blame due to the fact the direction they are taking the club ie signings and choice of manager, Ronny was never going to knock the job back when they came calling but its why they came calling to him you have to question

 

The board will cost us 10 in a row. They've cost us Leagues before and will again. The minute Ronnie never made the Champions League, he should have been replaced for the good of the club.

Too much bad decision making on their part.

 

I don't like the board

 

Any other business declining at such a rate would be looking at the guys at the top.

We are no different. Lawell takes a lot of credit for results off the pitch, he also must take a chunk of the blame for on field results as well. These guys chose RD, they decided they weren't going to allow him his own backroom staff, they chose an unliked assistant(if rumours are to be believed) and a rookie number 3 who only got the job out of sympathy.

We do rely on CL qualification to keep us in the black, or we get lucky and some EPL side buy a player from us.

What happens next season if we miss out on it again, and we don't have a £10m player to fall back on ?

These guys have allowed us to build a bloated, overpaid, poor quality squad with a poor quality, inexperienced management team leading them.

 

I blame the board for us having a squad that is way short of CL level. However, I think with the squad that we have, the league should be a formality and we certainly shouldn't have been humiliated the way we were in the Europa league- Ronny and his joke of a back room team are to blame for that.
For me, the board should have fired them straight after the EL debacle.

 

They are massively to blame. They didn't back Neil Lennon, to the point where he felt he had no option but to leave the club. They tried to thrust an assistant manager on to Lennon that he didn't want. They then proceeded to appoint that same assistant manager as the actual manager only to then force another assistant manager on him!(What the * kind of operation are we running here?!) The board are also undoubtedly having a hand in signing some of the players that are arriving at Celtic Park, I have no doubt in my mind about that. That is wrong. If you want the manager to cook the dinner then let him buy the ingredients.

The board are a bunch of interfering, penny pinching, Tory *. When Ronny does finally get his jotters the cockroaches in the boardroom should be chased out of Parkhead on the very same day.

The board is to blame, ultimately. I can see their idea, but it hasn't worked. This is the time to pull the plug. It's all very well for us to gripe about the board, but they have given us good managers in the past, and we were still moaning. We moan about the team playing a certain way, even if we are winning. In many respects it is us, the fans, who are responsible for this sorry situation.

 

They are the architects of this shambles. As they were with Mowbray. Yet somehow appear to be above accountability. They are the single biggest obstacle to our progression.

 

The only people involved with football that I hate more than this board are from Rangers. Parasites, crooks and bandits are an understatement for them

 

Shouldn't take the blame for:

Operating the club within our means and not throwing loaned money about like the dead Huns did and putting our club into even more debt. The accounts say it all. Fans shouting about a penny pinching board and invest in the team when the money isn't there to invest is just ridiculous.

Appointing Deila. Every club appoints a * manager no matter who they are. As I pointed out on another thread for every good manager in the last 29 years we've had a bad one to match, long before this Celtic board was around.

Should take the blame for:

Not backing certain managers at a time we financially could, Neil Lennon for the best example. Also after the Seville season we should have spent big and buried the Huns faster than they buried themselves when we had the money to do so.

Not sacking Deila when it was clear half a year ago he was clueless. Barnes and Mowbray didn't have this luxury.
