The team will probably win every game they play from now to the end of existence.

No chance. Although we have a good team, we're not awash with amazing quality at the back and goals will be lost.

Tbh, i think the team can manage to win everything till the game at ibrox, which we SHOULD win too.. i thnk its all about the winning mentality, and after last season's dissapointing loss vs ICT for an example who ruined the return of the title, i think the team is absolutely fired up to annihilate the opposition

You know what we need to think about too? If/when we do indeed lose our next game, it's how we react to it. Going on such a great run as we have, with the potential to keep going, the way we react to a defeat will show what this team are made of.

Will it drive us on to improve? Or..
Will it cause doubt in the minds of the players.

I go for the former as it has taken some severe bottle to pull that lead back. But you just never know

2003/2004 season. We drew our first game that season away to Dunfermline then went on the 25 match winning steak. Also the season we done the whitewash against them.

Don't feel as confident about going to Tynecastle & Mordor now Kayal is out. I know he played in the 4-2 game which we lost but he didn't have Wanyama behind him and Brown went off early. I felt pretty confident going into those away games with three ballwinners/hardworkers like Kayal, Wanyama & Brown, I know we have decent cover but the Kayal/Wanyama partnership looks really good. Ledley is a very tidy player though so hopefully be ok.

Looking at the fixture list, the next real tough test in the league is at Tynecastle on the 8th of February.

For me, our next tough test is our next game. We can't afford to be thinking about Tynecastle right now, especially when it's still about three weeks away.

Dundee United will be a stern test on Saturday, especially if we don't get out quickly and score an early goal, to settle the nerves. They'll be going out looking for an upset victory, as our home form has not always been great this season.

Having said that, I expect us to beat United at the weekend and extend our winning run. Kayal will be a big loss, undoubtedly, but unlike with Izzy's injury, we have more than enough adequate replacements for him and it's not as worrying.

Take it one game at a time and see where that takes us. We cant afford to get caught up in the idea of a winning run. It can lead to us playing cautiously against a team like Dunfermline to try and scrape a 1-0.

  10. I get nervous when we win too much as you know it can't last.

I know you're just being cautious but Saturday shouldn't be that tough. They're not up too much at all this season.

Easy win I think for the leather belts.

I don't even think we have been playing that well. Stranger things have happened though..

They always give us a tough game, the weekend will be no different imo.

    Exactly.
We can't let fans' complacency rub off on to the team. The club as a whole should be focused, fans included, against complacency.

The 2 games this season against them haven't been that tough though, in the past maybe but things have changed this season as you'd expect right enough given that they lost most of their best players.

They never troubled us at all up at Tannadice and we skelped them at Paradise.

They collapsed in the 2nd half at Parkhead, for whatever reason but the first half they played well.

The game up at Tannadice was the typical game we have been getting from them recently. They flood the midfield and try and stop us from playing which was fairly successful.

I can safely say we won't be beating them by 4 on Sunday.

Since Killie away we have played 12 league games and conceded 4 goals. Only 3 times in domestic competitions have we conceded more than 1 goal in a game. The defence isn't rock solid but isn't as bad as people like to make out.

3 goals in our last 10 games in all competitions suggests that the defence has got it's act together.

Do you think we can do it on Saturday? :icon_mrgreen:

  19. Would anyone rather we'd have drawn with Peterhead there and then won the replay?

Im cautious about winning runs and would have rather had a wee slip up in the Cup there so our players would get brought back down to earth and make a League slip up less likely.

Nah, that have been embarassing. Drawing level with the 2nd worst team in Scotland. :38:
