Just spoke to Gary Hooper & Kris Commons on an Emirates flight to Dubai. Anybody know what they are going out there for? Promotional thing maybe?

It was the 9.30 one. Got a couple of autographs for my boys. They were already seated and the aircraft was about to go (I was the engineer). Shame it wasn't the early one tomorrow cos the F/O is Irish and a mad 'tic fan. He would have been made up!

International break, so the club possibly gave them a couple of days off? You said you spoke with them... why didn't you ask?

See my reply above Taz. They had a young kid with them probably about 18 months. Kris' wife was down in economy and I made a joke about that to him. He did say he tried to get her up front but didn't happen. Sort of think that's why it was promotional i.e. their seats were paid for.

Both are being currently ignored by their international managers, so there's no reason for them to stick around in the Isles, I guess. Good time to get away and relax.

They're best mates they hide together out the way of Mulgrew and Broony who always bully them with their rampant anti-English racism :56:

Well thanks to this thread, I have found out the flight was delayed leaving glasgow, and due to yet more emirates incompetance my mum will now need to spend 24 hours in dubai airport. Stupid * for allowing a transit time of 1 hour 20 minutes.

Emirates have went from one of the best airlines to one of the most incompetent in a 4 year time span.

I hope hooper and commons got the flight free. Giving this shower of * money especially for business class is not worth it.
