don't think anyone who palys in a team which won 5-1 can be classed as really poor. Had a solid game didn't make any mistakes that I remember.

I wouldn't be too worried, he looked really good against Stirling and Killie before he got injured in that game. Probably just needs to get back to being fully fit

For the first 30 mins or so for me he didnt seem to be able to defend. When the shaggers attacked down his side he just didnt get his foot in and players seemed to be getting past him to easily not sure if this was because he was caught to far up the field suporting Naka.

However his second half performance was an impovement as he was getting his foot in much more and the shaggers didnt get in behind him once. I think this might have been because he didnt get forward as much. Maybe his fitness was not up to playing as a flying wing back today but he looked better when he just concentrated on defending.

how much football has he played in past few months? i am confident he will add to the defence when he is fully fit. no one gets 17 caps for germany if they are no good.

Hinkel was very sloppy today but I wouldn't be too worried.

Aberdeen were at their most dangerous down the flanks and since he was s just back from injury he ain't going to be 100% , he was caught of of position a few times but didn't think he was that bad.

Timing and positioning were out in the first half. First real blood and thunder SPL away Match and just back fron injury.

Inproved and had a decent second half without needing to do anything spectacular.

Seen enough to know he is a good enough player, just needs to settle in :50:

i think he started slowly in the first half as expected being out for a while, he was not making challenges when he should of and was positionally weak in first half letting his man get in behind him on numerous occasions. but the second half a huge improvement getting more involved a breaking up their play as well as starting ours:50::50::50::50::50::shamrock::shamrock::shamrock:

In all honesty, bhoys, I thought he was pish poor.

Seems to have an awful habit of clearing the ball back into a central position which is not the sign of a defender any where near the top of his game ... quite the opposite, in fact.

However, a long time out and hasn't played regularly either.

    Still hopeful.

Didn't look good going to head a ball either, though :54:

i'd give him a little more time i mean he's played how say about 4-5 games all together this season i think and almost a similar amount last season if some one can correct that would be good.

he's played just a hand full of games over 2 seasons and has just got back from injury, i'd say near the end of the season he will begin to come good

Are you Kidden me ? he is essentially a defender; defending in a team that won 5-1 away form home he didn't have a bad game, just a quiet one

Just making a valid point - and backing it up - by stating that I was far from impressed with him yesterday, GBJ.

    Congrats on post 600

He is known as an attacking Wing Back with the emphasis on attacking.

However he showed little in both departments yesterday to sugest he is a top player. Just hope like everyone else that he just isnt fit and needs time to settle. It is unfair to judge him so quickly but his performances will have to improve at least 80% more before he can be called a good player for us.I think he has it in him though.
