Im looking for some hidden gems, as in games not a lot of people have heard of, lesser well known games that may have been out for a while? Anyone got any suggestions?

    Cheers

This game Tokyo Jungle is really good. You choose to play as different animals and have to survive in an abandoned Tokyo. Sounds weird but trust me it just works like lister's triple fried egg, chilli and chutney sandwich.

  3. Killzone 2, it has one of the best online modes I have ever played.

Singularity, a FPS that centres around your characters ability to control time. Genuinely one of my favourite games of the generation, but sadly despite initial hype Activison didn't market the game and just released it to die. It barely sold any copies from what I gather despite good reviews. If you look in places like GAME and HMV I've seen if for round about £8

Alpha Protocol, a spy rpg. It's certainly not the greatest game ever (it didn't get particulary good reviews) but I had plenty of fun with it. You can make lots of different choices which can influence the story, and you can take on missions on whatever way you want (lethal/non-lethal, guns blazing/stealth) and your actions pretty much always have consequences.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadows is maybe another one. It's kind of like a * of War inspired take on the Castlevania series, that I liked. The story is quite good, and is long for a game in the genre. There's a sequel coming out later this year that looks even better.

I would definetly pick it up at that price. The multiplayer is probably empty, although it was quite fun at launch.

What sort of games do you like?

If you like fantasy/RPGs Dragons Dogma: Dark Arisen a rerelease of Dragons Dogma would be quite a good buy, it has all the DLC plus about 10 hours worth of new content. It's a bit of a mix game since its a western styled but made by Japanese devlopers. The gameplay is fun, the story's a bit so-so and quite weird but its worth a shot. It was £20 back when it was (re)released in April but it should be a bit cheaper now.
