Hammarby Fotboll is a Swedish football club based in Johanneshov - just south of Södermalm, the southernmost district of Stockholm city centre. In Sweden, the club is often referred to by its nickname Bajen (a short form of a mock-English pronunciation of "Hammarby").

Here you got some videos showing how great our supportership are:

    http://vimeo.com/17202721

This first video is containing 39 minutes of the supporters singing during ONE game, the cup final.

Actually you can see the Swedish Radio move away (at 17.49 into the video) from the south-stand (which is supposed to be the quiet family stand) due to the fans being to loud.

The stand you see closest to you is supposed to held seated supporters (old people, families and so on), though noone ever sat during this game. Not on the entire stadium actually, everyone stood. This was the cup-final.

This is also from the cup-final.

So pay a visit to Söderstadion, you'll love it! The stadium itselfs only contains 14.000 visitors though. But it's from 1966 and is a very old fashioned stadium with wooden benches and crazy supporters.

Hammarby as a club has never been succesful, they've only won the league once, allthough the club has the best support in Sweden.

If there's anything you want to know about Hammarby I'll be more than happy to answer your questions!

I can add some extra info.

    Hammarby has 3 large ultras-groups:

Söder Bröder - This is the ultra-group which are the ones having the drums, they're also the group that comes up with the most of the new songs.

Ultra Boys - The group who are burning the most pyro during the games, are standing far left on the stand on the opposite side from which all cameras are. Also know as the north-stand.

Hammarby Ultras - The ultra group who are creating all tifos, highly respected among other tifo-groups all over Sweden.

The intro-song that is singed before every game is called "Just idag är jag stark", and it's about that even though we don't win the most titles, games etc. we still love our team and that we, every time Hammarby plays, have a good feeling in our stomach. Quickly translated "Just idag är jag stark" means "Today I feel strong".

What a great fan-support. Supporters of clubs such as Manchester United should take after Bajen, and liven-up a bit; the atmosphere at Old Trafford is comparable to a library 95% of the time!

Coached against Hammarby quite a few years ago in Gothia Cup. Nice green and white kit. I still have the Hammarby pennant from the game they gave us.

Well they often say that you come to Söderstadion to create atmosphere, not to experience atmosphere.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, Hammarby was dedicated a 11th in the ranking of which arenas was having the best atmosphere in the world.

Can't find the article anymore, but it was 2006 if I remember correct.

Well, Hammarby Ultras was the first unofficial ultras-group to Hammarby, the group formed as early as 1993.

Then, not very long after Söder Bröder decided to start up, this was 1998. Pre SB there was no group taking care of the drums, which meant that if some people didn't show up, no drums were taken to the match. This was a problem that was solved with SB.

Barely a year after Ultra Boys were created as they felt neither of HU and SB were focusing on the pyro.

That's the story, as of now, UB is the largest group consisting of 80 members, followed by HU which has 30 members and SB only has 20-25.

Some people I've talked to in UB tells me that their large quantity makes it hard for them to get to know each other very well, for example SB has succeded in making every new member feel welcome to their group cause of their small numbers.
