    Providing we win the league and without being complacent, it is looking good.:icon_mrgreen:

    How far do we think we are away from getting a good run, eg reaching the last 16 in the Champions league. If our full squad was fit now could we make a challenge or are we still way off the mark?

    a million miles away.......we couldnt beat a * poor sion team....TWICE. also the competition starts when we're still admiring our sun tan from our holidays...so we havent got up to speed. and get caught wanting.

    Long bit away. But that Europa league stint did us the world of good for experience. But I'd think we'd be lucky to finish 3rd.
    Then again there was a Cypriot team that got into the last 16. Just luck of the draw.

    We started the season poorly though, even lost to St.Johnstone at home, we'd destroy Sion now IMO.

    We have a better side now than we did in 2008 where we got to the knockout stages.

    The quality in the CL is improving. Look at Man Utd for example. Basle put them out. When everyone was thinking that group would be a piece of * for them.

    Luck of the draw and how we play on the day. Thiss eason's EL group games gave many of the Bhoys a taste of what Europe is all about and the experience will stand them in good stead for future campaigns be it in CL or EL.

    I would be excited to take this squad and a few additions to the Champions League.

    We would not disgrace ourselves at all. Only reservation I would have is the lack of experience, specifically at centre half and the fact we don't have a powerful option up front. Barring that I see no reason why we couldn't give the majority of teams a game, especially at home. Guys like; Wanyama, Emilio, Matthews, Ledley etc... will show their quality against any level of opposition.

    I think we would be lucky to even make the group stages, the CL is a step up from the Europa.

    We would need an injection of real quality through the spine of the team, CB, midfield and striker.

    I'd say with the exception of Barca and Madrid its getting far worse and thats why the likes of Basle made it through.
