Hi were looking to head across the water for the hearts game later this month and also sample glasgows nightlife. We are looking stay two nights and i think we have a bout 5 on board. The question is, is it possible to rent out apartments for nigthly rates?? as hotels are an absolute bombs at times and aprtments could work out cheaper (we dont mind sleeping on the floor or couch , if you get me?) thanks in advance

    go to www.etaphotel.com

best in town for the money. 35 per night and room up to 3 people ( 12 p.Person )
it´s clean and has a burger king, bowling and a big casino right in front of the door.

eurohostel is about 15 per person and it´s dark and dirty.

I stayed in the Travel Lodge on Hill Street, just off Sauchiehall Street.

Get about 4 or 5 into the room (No-one was checking how many went into the room) for 50 quid a night and they often have deals on. Rooms are clean/ok with Tea making facilities and a TV

ye their will be a few of us so thats the reason why considering an apartment because its more than likely we won't be exactly quiet if we manage to make our way back, and dont fancy arguing with nightstaff at a hotel but it all depends on the price

We booked an apartment, or as we called it 'party flat' for a night after the arches, at the Variety Gate just of Sauchiehall street. I think we got fined £140 but that was because the place got trashed but the room itself was cheap enough, we had 50 people in it, no one checked till the fire alarms went off haha.

I went through a few weeks ago, premier inn double room £29 per night. Bang in the city centre too in Argyle Street. Worth checking them all though, they are all different rates even though they are still under Premier Inn, look around don't rule the hotels out.

I think Eurohostel is ok for two nights. Anyway, next time in Glasgow I will stay in Etap, to see if you are right.
