GET TELFER TO FUCK

I would like to start a petition to get Paul Telfer dropped from the team. I know that is not the usual way to let the manager know when he is in the wrong, but need to see what all my fellow tims feel on the matter. Please vote on the poll so we can see how the fans feel on this point. My personal opinion is that he offers very little to the side, is too slow and gets caught in no-mans land most of the time. Why not try putting Wilson in at his best position(right back) and have Camarra at left back? I'm not trying to pick the team but I feel G.S is wrong and cannot justify a guy like Telfer starting for the hoops????? Why? He has no ability, no pace, cant cross.......the list goes on. Let me know your views on this one.

after 2day i think we should see who esle can play there, he wasnt convincing, just hitting the ball any where. at the start of the season i thought he was ok and said giv him a chance but hes not learning from his mistakes and was caught out a few times with his lack of pace from being 2 far forward an then not getting back.

 

Wise up bhoys again!!!! He is in a winning side at the moment so why change it? We will have alternatives next season.

 

Just because we are winning doesn't change the fact that he is rank and should not be out there. Next season or not I would prefer to see a youngster getting his chance b4 Telfer. Not what we want to see at CP.

 

although we're winning i have to admit he isnt our best player i would rather he was dropped

Tommy Burns believes Telfer is our most consistent player and GS obviously rates him highly. For me he is solid, reliable and his experience if beneficial to the team. McManus has stated before that he enjoys playing beside him as he talks him through games. Sure he is not going to bomb down the wing like Agathe used to but he can defend, and that is a quality that we have missed this season.

Defensively since Balde has come back we have came on leaps and bounds and it was a good clean sheet today. The stats show that our best defence is Wilson, Balde, McManus and Telfer and I certainly don't think we should "get him to *". I expect that Caldwell will replace him at RB in the Summer or if we buy a good LB that Wilson will play there but for now he should finish the season at RB.

 

Agreed, not capable for Europe next year.

i dont think we should get him 2 *, an i dont think hes pish in general but 2day was not gd. thats wat my vote is on, take it game by game... its strange that his place in the team hasnt been changed at all, gorden has kept him there an im goin 2 trust the manager... telfer need 2 pull his socks up next game thou, an not repeat 2days performance

He's * murder, imo, one of the worst fullbacks i've ever seen in all my life, can't run, can't tackle and can't pass a ball, cracks under pressure aswell and just gives the ball back to the other team.

 

Remember he's a stop gap for this season. Cafu he ain't and he can be frustrating but he has been sound. He doesn't pick himself. Average Joe 6/10 every week. If he was getting £20,000 a week + like the real frauds I'd be more concerned.

 

Thought he was poor today, especially distribution. I think he does ok in general getting down the wing and can sometimes get some decent crosses in. Gets caught badly out of position defensively and has cost us a few goals this season. He is solid in tackle and a commited team player.

Overall 4/10

He is no substitute for Jackie.

We will need a new Right Back (or left) depending on where the improving Mark Wilson plays for the Champions League next season

 

Come on, guys! I've let off steam about the negative vibe that gets posted around this site and how unproductive it is. This is a new low. Running a poll on a Celtic player and only giving the three options to vote on, makes it pretty obvious which way the sheep are going to head.
Telfer IS *, basically. The problem has already been stated; he's wee GS pal. We're stuck with him now. I wouldn't have him in the starting line up. But to ask us to vote so negatively for someone in the Hoops??!!

The guy is a short term player for us and as we are running away with the league this poll is out of order.

 

Some people are never happy. Telfer was by no stretch of the imagination the worse Celtic player today. Most of Aberdeen's attacking threats came through the McManus/Wilson channel.Don't see any moans about them. It's time to get real here, we're romping to the title, what has the team to do to please these so called fans, who incidently are the worse in my memory. If the team was as bad as the fans we would be fighting relegation.Get behind the team, everyone of them and cheer them to victory.
