Would be a good signing for the SPL, think we need to look out of the SPL for signings though. Would like to see a good cheap Riordan getting signed though.

I think Garry O'Conner would be a great player for celtic and i think he would suprise a lot of celtic fans so i would love to see him him a celtic top .

He would also not command as much wages as BBJ .

I wouldn't go for him,We have good young strikers at the club,Michael-McGlinchey+Rocco-Quinn+Beattie(hes been in the 1st team for a while then his Hamstring went)+Wee maloney can play up front just like McGeady but i prefer Wee Shaun in midfield and my front two off Zurawski+Beattie,That would leave McGeady on the bench+Quinn+McGlinchey,McGeady can play up front as well so if we do sell BBJ i would use the money for a Left-back or a good defender that could play in midfield(right/side)We don't need anymore strikers in my opinion as we have already got good ones there and thats with-out BBJ so we don't need Garry O'Connor

I agree Mikeybhoy, our priorities lie elsewhere. Any spare money should go on defenders or getting Stan tied up.

i would rather us go for Robbie keane imo if we offer 4-5 million Spurs will have to accept cos hes out of contract in the summer so if he hears of are intrest he will want to go i think cos he supports the bhoys and if spurs dont accept he will wait till summer and we get him for nothing will i hope lol

Don't think Celtic have a spare 3-4 million, especially for a player that can leave for free in under 6 months!!!

Garry O'Conner would do a job for celtic, he would score goals and bring much more, his link up play is superb!trust me, use would be better off with him than riordan, he is much more of a worker, where riordan huffs n puffs all the time:31:

Don't disagree mate, but I think defence should be our priority, plus isn't Riordan out of contract in the summer?

if BBJ leaves we need to get a top quality striker in that has proven themselves in Europe, since sutty has left aswell...so Dermot get the cheque book out. if we want to do well in europe next season we need to be going for better players than O'connor

Dermot get the cheque book out, I'll have a pint of what you're on!!!
My biggest worry when Strachan was appointed is that he's a YES man, and rarely asks for transfer money, IMO Celtic are looking to change their ways, and I doubt if we'll see any big signings now as the club tries to reduce it's wage bill. I think around the £2-3Million mark is as high as we'll go for a player now, still would love to see Robbie Keane at CP.
