If there's any justice, he'll get a game ahead of Hart next England game. Doubt it though.

I've just had a look at his posts. He is to Forster, what Butch was to Broony. :smiley-laughing002:

  5. Roy Hodgson dismissing any uncertainty, on the news, re Joe Hart's position. "No doubts". "As far as I'm concerned, Joe Hart is my and will continue to be my number 1".

Lets be honest, Forster could win the champions League next year with any club in Europe and still not get in ahead of Hart. He's their poster boy.

With that attitude he will ensure that they remain in the category of no hopers then. Hart is and has been for a long time a liability to * and England.

Why is Joe Hart the poster boy though?

Is it merely because this is the first time since, well, Seaman, that they have an Englishmen playing as No.1 for a top club?

Wish Mancini was still at City - Hart would have been dropped, im certain of it.

  9. Hodgson ''it'd be a mistake to think Fraser Forster... should be given responsibility at this stage''

Roy Hodgson has leapt to the defence of Joe Hart whose form has come under the spotlight after his below-par display in Manchester City's UEFA Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich.

Hart was included by Hodgson for the crucial World Cup qualifiers against Montenegro and Poland which could see England qualify for the World Cup if they win both matches.

And despite some impressive recent performances from Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster, Hodgson insisted Hart is still his first choice for England.

"He kept clean sheets against Moldova and Ukraine," said Hodgson. "We've let in three goals in eight games so it'll take a lot more than one bad game from any player before I start suggesting that he is replaced by somebody.

"He is clearly the number one," Hodgson continued. "We're pleased with Fraser, we think he's done really, really well and I think he's got a great future.

"But certainly I think it will be a mistake to suggest that he should be given the responsibility of these two vitally important games.

"The players who have the most experience are the ones who have to make certain that they deserve it and that they are worthy of it in these two games.

"Then we'll see what Fraser can do."

Hodgson believes goalkeepers can be an easy target to blame when things go wrong and the England manager reiterated his faith in the Manchester City No.1.

"It's a little bit easier to criticise the goalkeeper for what you think is a mistake than maybe the midfielder whose poor play two or three moments earlier has provoked the goal chance in the first place," said Hodgson.

"I believe Joe will shrug this off. I am sure he is not happy with the criticism, I'm sure he is not happy to have let in goals which maybe he thinks he could have stopped but this is a fact of life.

"As far as I am concerned he has never let me or the team down during the time I have been working with him so I have every confidence every faith in him that he will have the confidence to put this behind him."

  11. Well done on the call up.

Keep big hart in goal he's in the form of his life for club and country and he should remain between the sticks,I'll be supporting him anyway

How the * is he ever gonna get experience if you never pick him, you silly owl *?
I find it hard to take Hodgson serious when he doesn't even give people a chance in friendlies.

Forster will probably end up having to move just to get his precious 1 cap against Lichtenstein, and Celtic will be back to having * goalies :54:

  13. Hodgson is an idiot, simple as that. He brings * Ben Foster back from international retirement to English squad, *?!? Fraser deserves a chance to prove himself, even * Ruddy got one!

Fraser's kicking was very good last year until that neck injury. After that injury, he lost his form, and his kicking also became * again.

I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but you can actually see if his kick is gonna be good or bad. :smiley-laughing002: If he looks composed and focused, it's gonna be a good one. If he looks like he's only going to kick it no matter what, its gonna be a bad one. Call me mad, but I can always spot the difference. :smiley-laughing002:

He really need to improve his rushing out and catching crosses (this especially, its embarrassing for a guy who's 2,00m tall).

Also, at the moment he is the best English GK in terms of not making stupid mistakes, I actually can't remember if he ever had one.

There's a vicious rumour that Barcelona are in the hunt for him during the January transfer window...

Fraser's problem with kicking is that he always aims for Sammy, that seems to be our entire tactic from kick outs. In domestic games he will just let Van Dijk or Efe take it off him and we build from the back, and in Europe we just pump to Sammy on the left wing EVERY SINGLE TIME.

He has also regressed in terms of his confidence and composure in dealing with crosses, he had it sorted last year but has gone back to being shaky with the ball in the air again.

Still a beast of a keeper though and has been better than Hart now for about 2 years.

  16. Could win the CL with them, still wouldn't get England No.1.

Regarding the point earlier, I think that is probably the case of him being poster boy...Only English goalie playing for a 'Big' club in the 'Best League in the World'. Therefor best goalie in the world.

Glad the big man got another call up :50:

If I was an England fan I'd want Forster to start their next game. I can obviously understand why they don't rate the SPL and wouldn't pick him on that basis but his Champions League performances this season and the last have been absolutely incredible.

He might be called up but it hardly matters when your national team manager pretty much states he has no intention of dropping hart no matter how bad he gets..... and its alot more than one game roy that hart has * up in you *.

Not convinced it would get him very far.
