I dont think james will get a run in this side and will be sold within 18 months . For me he doesn't have the end product , and is technically lacking in crossing and even more so shooting . Delia is building a side of technically gifted footballers who can keep the ball and i dont think james is up to scratch . Has great pace and can get into dangerous positions but is far to wasteful , dont think he can strike a ball properly . Plus , he is constantly injured. With the new signings and Commons potentially staying for another couple of seasons , does anyone see him getting a run in the side or believe that he should ? ( Tin hat on )

Mods , couldnt find the forrest thread but feel free to chuck this in there if its still about .

All he lacks is fitness in my opinion.

I thought he looked sharp when can on, and that awful pitch clearly effected his two chances at an end product. I doubt it man I think Forrest is well in Deilas plans, that's why he's been nursing him back into the first team.

So sad that Naeneck has not progressed in the way we hoped he would a few years ago, when he genuinely looked like he would progress in to a top class winger.

If he stays fit - the biggest dilemma - then no way will Deila et al want him to go anywhere. If you are looking at a preferred 4-2-3-1 then left side GMS / right side fit Forrest would scare the * out of a lot of teams.

At the back of their minds will also be the worry - and it would be * typical, but this is what happens - that they let him go and receive buttons for him, then all of a sudden his injury woes disappear and he turns in to the real deal.

Big 18 months coming up for him though, without any doubt. Then he's out of contract in December '16.

If he gets a run of games before end of season, and proves his worth and his fitness, they will try to tie him down for years to come.

The next months will show that. I hope we see him glowing.

I wouldn't sell him, if he's fit he's fighting for starting spot on the wing. If/when we get rid of Derk, Wakaso, Tonev, we're still going to need a few options and Forrest is surely one of them.

That is shocking! But still made me chuckle.

It sadness me he hasn't progressed in his career and if anything he has gone backwards. Who knows if he can stay fit and get a run in the side he could start to turn things on again. It looks like a big IF though.

Forrest has a lot of quality. Only thing is his injuries. If he can sort that out (big if) he still has a huge role to play here.

People forget how good is he when he doesn't play for a few games, most of the time he starts he's our best player. Ronny is just easing him back in so he doesn't get injured again and he's called him a 'special player' so he will be here to stay.

Our best winger when he's fit.

The thought of GMS and Forrest on each wing in Europe is the stuff of dreams!

When i think of Forest all i think of is him running at a defender, cutting inside and then running across a line of defenders and then blasting the ball sky high.

Barely progressed since his first season. Far too injury prone and his end product isn't good enough.

Think he'll be gone in the summer.

He's got pace and bags of technical ability. You only need to see him roasting full backs, cutting inside and playing intricate one twos with his fellow forwards.

If he can sort his injury problems out then we have a real player on our hands.

The good thing about our new signings is there is absolutely no need to rush him or play him every week. He will play a huge part in the run in, no question.

Basically this. Not sure where the idea that he lacks technical ability has come from. Pretty handy with both feet as well. Really hope he can stay fit, such an exciting player.

He's had his chances, had his time, hasn't progressed like some thought he would. We should cash in while he still has value, the summer is the right time for him to be punted.

His value will be at the lowest it's ever been, makes no sense to punt him in the summer.

If Ronny thinks he can sort him out then its a no brainer to keep him as his value (both monetary and worth to the team) will continue to rise.
