FM 2008 formation/Tactics

Got the game yesterday , started a celtic game ,done a few friendlies playing an attacking 4 4 2 , tinkered with the tempo ,passing etc

won 2 and lost there , one more to play before the season starts

What formations/ tactics you guys using ?

 

Started with the simple attacking 4-4-2 but then decided to tinker a bit mid season. Tried a cheeky 3-4-3 with 2 target men up top still focussing it down the flanks though. Worked a complete treat, was scoring up to 5/6 goals against diddy teams like The Sheep. Fair enough I was conceeding maybe 2/3, but 90% of the time I scored enough so that my goals conceeded didn't matter

naka and mcgeady make runs up the wing
donati makes runs back to dm

attacking mentality, high creative freedom, quick tempo and passing

Saved a couple of ones that I feel work personally best, can't seem to find them though..

 

3 cb's 2 wb's 2cm's 1 am and two striker with the wing backs making runs up the wing and the am making a straight run play attacking high tempo direct passing.

I use one that I mucked about with Ayr Utd, got them into the First division with it, pushing for promotion to the SPL, but then I got that error where the fixtures dont appear.

Started a new game with Celtic and it works not too bad.

i always use the 4-4-2 formation (with one attacking and one defensive CM). i finished my 1st season in 2nd place (though we were even in points with the * huns). i won both scotish cups though! with the team i have created (very, very young) i'm hoping for a european title in a couple of years!

 

442 attacking also works best for me to be honest.

 

Also a 433 is good with 1 of the strikers just behind the front 2.... That can work really well!

 

i started a game with aston villa and beat chelsea 3-0, quite proud of that so thought i'd mention it .... but then again how could I not with gary caldwell as my anchorman.

 

i'm in my 3rd season now! last season i won the SPL... but this one (so far) i've played 18 games and won 18... conceding just one goal (falkirk 90+2 min)... and i won against chelski (chl) 5-2 in glasgow!!! happy times!

 

turns out thats not good enough, the * sacked me in february in my first season!

 

Is it just me or when everytime you score from a corner it gets disaloud?

 

thinking about it yeah most of the time, and at the momnet im man city and know how when it goes processing you see stats of goals from corners ive got 0 or ive got 1 and im not in the list because it cuts off. you might possibly need to download the patch
