    Yes, but it would be extremely unusual... For them to make the move he'd need to be someone who'd already seemed to settle and want to be there... But maybe their intention is to take up a cheap loan to buy option and immediately sell him to us, like that other Belgian club did with us... :39:

    Salernitana, Daniliuc awaits Salzburg but Celtic hits
    The defender will take advantage of the European Championship showcase. The Granata club hopes for a significant capital gain

    The showcase of the European Championships and the possibility of saying goodbye to Salerno in the next few days. For Flavius Daniliuc there is a whole future to write. The Austrian defender has been called up and will star in Germany. After a complicated first part of the season in the grenade jersey, Daniliuc relaunched himself in Austria, coming close to the title but earning a call from his national team.


    The player's future will be decided in the next few hours. Salzburg will be able to exercise the right of redemption of 5.5 million euros but in the last few hours Celtic have also swooped on the Austrian defender. The Scots consider Daniliuc to be a promising player to give to coach Rodgers to fill out their backlog. Salernitana is hoping for an auction to achieve a significant capital gain

    Sounds promising but I think when a team has taken them on loan with an option, it's hard to see the player turning that same team down, unless it's one of the big leagues and mega money on offer.

    We're not half going for some odd transfers.

    A GK that signed a long term deal with his parent club in March and a CB who has an option to sign with his loan club.

    It's a good sign Salzburg want to keep him, but id be shocked if he picks us over them.

    I’ve seen all of Salzburg games this season and he’s defo no a CB he’s playing more a right back

    Now if we were after either Baidoo Solet or defo Pavlovic then 100% I could understand this rumour

    He's definitely a CB.

    Maybe not been playing there for Salzburg but he's played 107 games of his career at CB compared to 31 at RB.

    The fact he can play both is more attractive though.
