I'd strangle those idiots who lit the flares. That's a * Rangers act, you're an ambassador of our club when you're at any Celtic game, home or away. We have an almost 100% record as well behaved fans that can only go one way...down, and those idiots certainly got the momentum going on that downward spiral.

On top of lighting flares they then had the audacity to resist the stewards/security/police! These people are brainless. They are the type of Celtic fan that I despise and I wish they did not support my club. This type of act only gives ammunition to Rangers and the Scottish media.

We always pride ourselves on possessing the 'brains over brawn' mentality and as a result when I witness Celtic fans conducting this type of mindless, thuggish, moronic behaviour I am simply left seething with rage. I want you out of my club or better yet go and join that fascist regime on the other side of Glasgow, they'd love your flares and your arrogant attitude.

You ARE NOT bigger than our club.

Well done. Good post. There is no need for it at football. They can do it all they want in Italy, Spain etc but we do not need to bring the good name of our fans down by mindless actions.

This sort of thing lets down all the fans.

Get what you're saying there, but as we know most fans would have been pished and should not be trusted with hazardous objects.

I don't have a problem with flares themselves, but the people that light them are usually irresponsible. I remember the last match I went to where a fan lit a flare, he lit it, shouted at police then threw it into the crowd. *.

So you lot are all for flares when you know that they are not allowed. It's the stupidity of breaking an obvious rule that annoys me here and then carrying on to break more when resisting the police. I agree with alsybhoy when he says that he's all for flares, I would love Celtic Park to be full of flares and those huge flags you see on the continent and people dancing and singing but unfortunately that's not the way of it and therefore you can protest against these restrictions in a more intelligent way than just to break the rule that stops you from doing it in the first place, like I said before 'Brains over brawn'.

Yeah flares look great when used properly besides there really wasn't any major reports of anything terrible happening it's not like we wrecked a city so no need to get so worked up about it imo.

    A rangers act- lol

There was no need for them at this fixture imo, a bit too pointless and too much hassle

I don't think it's anything like the big deal you've made it out be unless you can point to stats showing how many people have been killed or maimed by a flare at a football match.

You sound like the type who shouts at others to "sit doon!" - standing not being allowed and that...
