FIFA club World Cup

Just seen this is a thing starting next week, very random. The last thing players will want after finishing a long season surely?
32 teams from Europe, Africa, South America, Asia, Central America and Oceania.
Be good to have some football to watch but you’d expect the European teams to be sending reserves. Maybe the rest will take it seriously, who knows?

 

Had no clue about this until the other day. Tides us over a bit until we get Celtic back I guess.

The winner is expected to receive up to $125m. Perhaps this is the reason Madrid paid €10m to have TAA available for the group games.

Kinda intrigued to watch Boca-Bayern and Boca-Benfica tbh. Always rooting for the opponents of Real Madrid as well unless they ever play the huns.

Hope some of these are on when I'm on nighshift. Hoping the teams involved take it serious as well so it's not like glorified friendlies.

I wouldn't be surprised if this was the last one. I'm not sure fans will tune in and I expect the football to be dire. The teams will all be sagged out.

 

I am looking forward to this one tbh. Wish we played in it.

Absolutely joke of a competition, unless a South American team win it, in which case it's an exceptional competition to promote worldwide football.

think it could be a good watch as a whole once the group games are done, soon as it’s knockouts it’ll be taken seriously by anyone still in it

 

Yeah I look forward to this tbh. Tastes a bit bitter now but this tournament wont go anywhere. It will be here in 50 years time.

It’s been around for a while anyway hasn’t it. I’d like to see us play in it one time purely for the variety of teams you can play that we will never ever play competitively.

Imagine how class it would be us playing against boca juniors, river plate, even Al ahly etc! Would be good to get the chance to see these teams.

also we need to be scouting players during this from countries we might not usually look to.

 

I cannot understand why any true football fan would be excited by this money money money corrupt tournament. I for one will not watch a second of this Shitshow. Each to their own I guess.

PS Remember the highly corrupt cheating .astards Man City could win £100 million winning this or the the highly corrupt Chelsea, how on earth is this Shitfest good for football??

 

They cant sell tickets for it started off at £300 now down to £50 with loads unsold, think the fans see this for what it is a money grab
