I know there is already a Match thread, but just wanted to guage the mood ahead of the game, how confident do you feel going into this game ?

Must admit i'm a bit unsure given our recent performances, hope the players will be able to raise their game and deliver a good result.

We know it's only 3 points, but i think the bigger picture here is the psychological aspect going forward and into the rest of the season.

Always get nervous ahead of these games, hope Lenny and the Bhoys can get the job done.

The Covid cases have me more concerned than I would normally be, but we’re still capable of a win.

It doesn't feel like a home fixture and it will be the same for us at theirs later in the season. I'd certainly take a draw in this fixture what with the players available. If we lose, all us not lost but we'll need to be heck of a consistent v the rest!

I really do not know what to expect from us which is very concerning. We have been getting results but with not great performances for the most part although the recent performances against Hibernian and Sarajevo were much better so that is encouraging. But then we have this spate of injuries first and now the international week knocking more players out because of the virus none of which seems to be affecting them anywhere near as much as it is us so that makes me very nervous especially as we still have another round of internationals today and tomorrow and could lose more players.

I don't honestly see us or the huns dropping many points this season to the other teams, which places an extra importance on these games, although things can change when the pressure is on. It remains to be seen if the huns can cope with the pressure, but i certainly don't want to see them still sittin at the top of the table come the final whistle on Saturday.

Theres been games against them in recent years where we have pretty much known we were going to win, in all honesty its not the case anymore. We have the better players so we should win the game, but we all know its not as simple as that. A lot will be down to team selection (will Eddy be available?) and if the players 'turn up' because I can tell you for a fact the huns will be bursting their baws to win this match. If we get it right there will be only one winner however a repeat of the last 2 games against them will likely end up in a defeat, we cant put in another performance like that.

Anyway to answer the question I am confident but with a wee bit of added apprehension. At the end of the day I have faith Lenny and the bhoys will put in a performance and let everyone know the Title is staying at Celtic Park for the 10th season in row. Bring it on!!

I'm not as confident as the past few seasons.

Kent is a threat, no matter what some will say, seen him on Sportscene and been impressed. Other than that I'm not fearful.

I do believe we have enough though to win, even with Covid absentees, I think the players who step in will have a hunger and Lenny will have them right up for it.

Our team looks markedly different from the last time we played them so I expect us to even surprise some of our own fans with our performance. Quietly confident.

The lack of fans will be so bizarre I can't even decide what the impact will be

I feel like this has been a big factor in us not performing at our best so far this season. Our fans give the players so much backing, especially away games and Hun games so it might mean the players struggle to get that buzz before kick off.

I know it's the same for all teams but it's like a symbiotic relationship with the team and our fans in terms of creating that buzz.

The Covid stuff has strangely made me quite confident. Have a feeling now it could work in our favour. The absences could lead them into thinking we’re there for the taking - fire into them from the start and demolish them. * them all.

My main concern is the hun * in black.

Lack of fans may work for us, we really get on top of our own if things aren't going that well..

But we also provide that extra % when it's needed. Also may be easier for brother Beaton to get away with a lot more.

I agree with this 100%. People can say its the same for all teams but it simply isnt. The size and noise of our support is literally world famous, of course the players are going to miss that. Many of them thrive on the passion coming from the Celtic support. The only other team that comes close in Scotland is the huns but their mentally weak players perform better without their fans as its been clear they bottle it when they're under pressure especially if the fans start giving them pelters from the stands.

Although in fairness to the sevco players the sight of that mob of knuckle draggers foaming at the mouth from the sidelines would be enough to put anyone off their game. :eek1:

I’ll admit, this is probably the least confident I’ve been going into a game against them since their inception.

There’s a fair few reasons for that:
    1. Our form hasn’t been great. Although we’ve shown great grit to get results, we’ve not played great (with the exception of a couple of games).
    2. A few of our best players have been pretty majorly off form.
    3. The Covid cases and injuries are stacking up and hurting us badly. Our squad is starting to look very thin as a result.
    4. Rangers results against better teams (us and in Europe) recently have been decent. This type of game suits them.
    5. The lack of fans hurts us without a shadow of a doubt.
There’s plenty of cause for concern. As much as it pains me to say it, I think we might only win this one by two or three goals lads :(

    This totally.

We aint been playing well at all,but i believe Lenny and co will want this one more than ever to be honest. We need to put them and the media back in their box as everyone now believes they are invincible.

The ref is the issue though, hes one of the worst, hes under pressure with what Gerrard said and they cant afford to see us win when we are in such a bad state (regarding how we have started this season).

I want to win,and big,but they really need to stop listening to the hype surrounding them and go for it from the off this time.

Unleash them Lenny and watch them burn

I genuinely am refusing myself to even think about it properly until Thursday/Friday or I’ll go demented. Other than the wee passing remarks in work.

Don’t like not knowing what sort of squad we’ll have to pick from or who’ll be playing.
