    So we SHOULD be guaranteed 'proper' european football this season, as in group stages, whether it be in the champions league or europa league.

    If we, by some fluke, have to play Krylja Sovetov I might just shoot somebody. They stick out from the "unseededs" like a sore thumb.

    Europa League won't be so bad...I'd say we'd be a favourite if we kick in with a few strong signings...I'd rather win that from the start rather then being bungled into it after coming 3rd in the UCL group stage

    Not really, the graph is pretty simple. If we win the 3rd round we go through to a play-off for a CL place, if we get beat there we go straight through to the Europa League group stages, if we go out in the 3rd round we go to a playoff for the Europa League groups, and if we win both rounds we'll obviously be in the Champions League. :shamrock:

    I dont want to be all doom and gloom but i think we will find it very very hard this year,not because we have gotten so bad as a team but because all these russian teams have been spending money and improved so much.

    To be honest i think the perfect scenario would be to qualify for the champions league group stages so we get the money for appearing in the champions league, finish 3rd so we drop in to the europa league and have a good run in that and get to the final and hopefully win it. Not had a run in the europa league since seville and i think it would be good for us seen as we are too far off the teams like Barca, Man utd, liverpool etc and if we did scrape through the champions league group stages and made it to the last 16 we're still going to struggle to get to the last 8 and to be realistic we are not going to win it any time in the near future. We would have a much better chance in the europa league.

    We don't have a team yet thats capable of doing anything in Europe. The board need to get the finger out and appoint a manager and give him funds to build his team. These * failed to score in our last 3 games in the SPL, what chance do they have in Europe?

    We need a manager in now!
