Anyone else looking forward to this?

Relapse was decent but it featured quite a lot of jokes and light-hearted rapping, I'm hoping the overall mood and style of Recovery reverts back to some of his older or orignal stuff, because I think that's when he's at his best.

Either way, it's going to be great.

The second track that leaked (Won't Back Down) is horrible, not really excited over it anymore.

That's it leaked now at a low(ish) quality, hopefully a high quality leak will be out soon!

im happy with the outcome of the new eminem album

    pros:
lyrically the best since the eminem show album(better than encore and relapse)
doesnt have full songs on mariah carey, his ma, christopher reeves etc
doesnt rap in that bullshit voice, like relapse
    doesnt diss popstars
makes the rihanna and pink songs unexpectedly decent

    cons:
lil wayne ruins a song with potential
the producton isnt the best, dre sampling ozzy/kely osbourne lol
no good MCs featured on it

i expected it to be completely * but its good

    Fair point's.

I think it's a good album, however don't think it touches Slim Shady LP, Marshall Mathers LP or The Eminem Show. It just seem's far too sentimental.

Just how bad is Lil Wayne! Been listening to quite a few of his tracks lately, not a fan at all.

Yea Lil Wayne is good, but as you said he's jumping on everything at the moment and he isn't exactly setting the world on fire. His older stuff is brilliant though.

    Good shout! :icon_mrgreen:

lil wayne is a disgrace to hiphop, hes terrible, hes voice, hes flow, his lyrics, his * punchlines, his attempt to be a rock star which didnt work out, everything about his just annoys me, especially when people say hes the best rapper alivehe wouldnt be in my top 300 and thats no joke

name 300 better then....in fact name 20.the guy is good.you just have to realise rap is made to do well in the charts now.no political, about poverty etc anymore.everyone is equal, blacks get treated the same so they can only do what they do now.gone are the days of 2pac,biggie,nwa,public enemy and rap like that

thats the biggest load of bulshit ive heard in a while, so rap is made for commercial success, seriously??
in the mainstream there is successful rappers, in terms of record sales, chart positions but that is not even 1% of all hiphop artists including underground MC's
The real rap that started in the 80s through the 90s and start of 00s was all about simply lyrics and beats
all the lyrics had substance and meaning and had whity sharp punchlines, storytelling etc
you saying rap is all about chart postions now, no matter if its bullshit or not, seriously

nas, immortal technique, diabolic, canibus, eminem, talib kweli, black thought, mos def, vinnie paz, necro, pharoah monch, az, r.a the rugged man, method man, ghostface killah, raekwon, killah priest, ice cube, masta ace, inspecktah deck,
theres around about 20 rappers that have released recent material in the past year or will soon release material in the coming months and its always with substance and meaning in it, some political some just about harsh realitys and all better than that lolipop, martian bullshit that gets played on the radio today

thats not to mention the past greats of hiphop rakim, krs, 2pac, biggie, bigl, big pun, daddy kane, kool g rap...
