Announced a while back while Ronda Rousey was still the undefeated women's bantamweight champion since she's on the cover :56: Just want to know what people think about EA passing over a new Fight Night game (the same development studio make both) for another UFC title fairly early after the first EA Sports UFC, which was lacklustre to say the least.

Personally I'd much rather have a Fight Night game (Fight Night Champion was excellent) since the current gen consoles don't have any boxing games at all and it seems to me EA have yet again acquired a big money licence and are trying to milk it as much they can like the * they are.

Am waiting on another Fight Night title. Still play the last two editions on the 360 once in a while. Tried the last UFC game and didn't like it one bit. Way too much rolling on the floor going on. So won't be buying this one.

Is this such a bigger game than Fight Night in sales? Somehow I can't imagine.

Disgusting decision. UFC games are * rank, so was the ea sports one. Utter *.
Fight night 4 (never played champion) was one of my favourite games. Loved it, actually got ranked 16 in Britain at one point on it :boxing:

Much bigger market in the UK for a boxing game imo, put Anthony Joshua on the cover and the sales would increase

Good news for boxing game fans as EA Sports is working on the new Fight Night game tentatively called "Fight Night Champion 2", if the reports and rumors are to be believed.
When EA Sports UFC was in development, EA Sports has admitted that they put the Fight Night franchise on hold to work on the game.

"Do I see a future for Fight Night? You know, sure. But right now, UFC is where our fighting focus is," as was told by EA Sports Head, Andrew Wilson, to IGN.
And now, EA Sports have confirmed that the last update for EA Sports is going to be the last major update for the game and they would now shift their focus on the future.
"EA SPORTS UFC's seventh content update is all about the fighters and includes four new additions to the roster in the form of newcomers and title-contenders alike. This will mark the last major update for the game as we'll now begin shifting focus towards the future." as was written on their official website.

Cyberland reported that EA Sports is now allegedly developing the Fight Night Champion 2 game for the PS4 and Xbox One using the IGNITE engine that was used on EA Sports UFC.
No further details has been reported but Cyberland speculates that with the two year development time needed for EA Sports UFC, fans can expect a lates 2016 or 2017 release date for Fight Night Champion 2.

I would love a boxing game on PS4. I would even settle for the early Fight Night games being available on PS4 like round 3 on PS2 as a download. I will probably buy UFC 2 but from what I've heard the first UFC game was poor. The problem is which annoys me UFC always has to be up against Boxing like it's competition, It would have been nice for someone other than EA having the balls to produce a boxing game. I just hope the UFC game in the spring is really good.

To be honest the fiddly nature of MMA games puts me off them. I've bought 4 over the years, UFC Undisputed and it's sequel (didn't bother with Undisputed 3), EA Sports MMA and EA Sports UFC and they all suffer from having too many moves and button combinations to the point you end up finding a handful of moves you're comfortable with and spam them. I much prefer Fight Night where it's boxing and moves are limited which makes it alot more technical.

    * this !!
End up in a total rage, when some * online is pinning you constantly, and no matter what you do. You just cannot reverse it or get him off. It's too complex a sport to try and put in a game.
Fight night ? Now that just worked. Like a treat.

Fight Night is better but far too long to wait for the next one could be a year and half and I'm just gagging for fighting game other than WWE so just going to hope they have improved the ground game on UFC 2. There is a new option of fighting without the wrestling aspect so kickboxing and muay thai which might be more playable on UFC 2.

Not heard anything about the 'no wrestling' option. Think that'd be fantastic tbh. The wresting/grappling is what kills it for me.

I always feel MMA is far too complex a sport with so many variables to make into a decent game

If there will be an option to turn off the rolling around the floor, I might consider buying it. Not heard of that option before though. Wouldn't be a real representation of the sport either.

I think there is a new option in UFC 2 for 2 player called TKO mode where there is no wrestling or grappling but the main career game will have all the real rules. By sounds of that one review the grappling has improved but it's still frustrating apparently.

Out today, had to pay £40 and PES 16 I wanted to swap UFC 1 as well to make it cheaper but I bought it from eBay and it's from China so they wouldn't swap it. I won't be buying games from eBay again. Going to give it a bash later on hopefully it's an improvement.

I played it for about 1 hour last night and so far I'm a little underwhelmed. I think the game will grow on me as the 1st game did. It's much harder than the UFC 1. There are far too many buttons and far too many moves and the ground game element is worse, I dunno why people say the ground aspect has improved it's crazy hard now.

I can't see it appealing to people that are not hardcore fans of UFC or people that don't have a lot of time on their hands to learn to play it. The KO version of the game (where there is no ground game) is better and easier to play so people will like that as it's much more like Fight Night but that's not UFC.

I think I will grow to love it but * me it's a minefield working out what to press when to press. The create a fighter is good much like PES or FIFA you can pretty much if you have time create yourself to look like yourself or create anyone you like.

Conan O'brien and Conor McGregor play each other on UFC 2

Daft question but it's annoying me, my game measures height in cm and weight in kg, anyone know how to change it can't seem to find it in the settings and it just doesn't look right
