Celtic 2-1 Shakhtar Donetsk
Massimo Donati saved Celtic from a certain failure to advance in the Champions League with a goal in the dying seconds in Celtic's match against the Ukrainian side shakhtar donetsk.
The game started with an early goal conceded by Celtic which was an early Christmas present from Kennedy to Brandao. Tradgedy stuck Celtic again in the first half when defensive starters John Kennedy and Lee Naylor both were stretchered off the field and replaced. Just before halftime break Jiri Jarosik leveled the score at 1-1 with a goal.
After halftime break the game was plagued with the ukrainian's diving and the resulting free kicks until the stoppage time of the match when Massimo Donati hit the ball and it flew into the back netting giving Celtic a 2-1 victory and putting in their own hands the chance to advance to the knockout stage.
