Well there seems to be a Ki thread. Ledley was also absent from the match last night and surely our team MUST perform better without Ledley too.

After all, he is not exactly a battler, we don't ACTUALLY know what positions he is good in, as he is just OK whenever he is played in Centre, Left Wing or Left Back?

I mean as our joint highest wage earner, and a STONKINGLY good performance without him last night, surely we don't need him. * it punt him, 15 million or something.

As a centre mid he should be able to tackle and track back, he aint exactly a master at that? He is OK, as is he with everything else. Just ok. not great.

Well, I feel if there is a thread like this about a player who has turned in more star performances (Ki) surely there should be one without Ledley too.

    * it, come to think about it. Brown was absent last night too... Might start a thread about that.

why are you being so bitter about people not rating ki? aye he's a decent player and all but there are elements of his game which have a negative impact on the team. Last night we looked like a decent unit again.

No, seriously. It is. He didnt play last night, we thumped Rennes. There for he really aint needed (if we go by the majority of this forums mentality), and considering his wage. I feel it could be spent better. I havent EVER seen an MOM performance from the lad. Not saying he is *, just saying. He is at best. Ok.

last nights win was not because Ki,Ledley and brown were not playing.
we won because the players who were playing gave their all.
they had a belief in their ability which was great to see.
Ledley in my opinion is a very good player and will be crucial for us
    in the months ahead.

Ledleys injury at ibrox last season is the reason we lost the league IMO , anybody who knows anything about playing the game understands how important Ledley is

same can be said for almost any player.

I understand plenty about the game, what I don't understand is why between ledley and brown we dish out almost 60 grand a week and get hardly anything back in return.

Two things. Whats the point in saying I talk pish, then call me mate. Kind of pointless really.

Secondly. If this thread is pish. surely the Ki one is? Your COMPLETELY missing the point.

    But honestly, I do feel he is over paid for his ability;

Ledley has been close to our best player this season, after Forrest. Aye right, just because we played relatively well without him in one game we should sell him (by the way, 15 million, you must be joking).

I should also remind you Ledley played in the match in Rennes, scoring an equaliser and he was widely seen as our best player that night. His position is centre midfield, but he can also play left back, a role which he doesn't like but has performed well in this season after being forced to play there due to our big injury problems.

Ledley in fact seems to be one of the few players that knows what its all about, and actually plays for shirt, as Lenny said himself.

I'm not really clear on your logic, and frankly don't see how you can twist a good win into a negative thread about one of our best players. Same goes for the Ki thread. If you're using that thread as an excuse for another equally pish thread then... Why?!

our best midfield last season without a doubt was

    Brown Kayal Ledley Commons

i would possible replace brown with forrest this season

ledley is a great worker he goes before ki for me because ki can often go missing and wont put in a good shift when needed. ki is the more girted player and would be more suited in a league where he will get more time when on the ball

The moral of this thread is so people can see how stupid some of their posts in the other thread are, and clearly its not down to ability but favoritisim.

I agree, on his day ledley is good. but hardly ever great. He performs but I struggle to see how he gets 25,000 per week and Ki gets 3000???

It's just a reaction to the Ki thread. Negativity breeds negativity and all that.

Ki and Ledley are two of our best players this season, it's unreasonable to contemplate even the thought that we play better without them.

It's not the midfield that's the issue.

Again though, it can be said equally that he offers nothing as special, where as Ki will?

Yeah, Ledley's not great and not a big miss now we've got Wanyama performing in the heart of the team.

I'm not saying Ledley's a bad player, just not as good as some make him out to be.
