    yeah we always need to strenghten too many good players in a squad is not an option .. you can never have too many ask chelsea ..altho ..earlier post i was just stating our forward line look good ... but i dont really care where forward / defense/midfield etc .. particular defence but as long as we strenghten .. 2 or more players would be ideal .... we play killie today and look good yes .. but we play champs league ... agaisnt barca , porto ,madrid etc ... is different kettle of fish ... so yes we must sign a couple more high quality player(s).

    we can win the league with this team but i would like to see the squad strengthen the defence still looked a bit shaky today and we still need another striker

    i agree with gerry bhoy without a new left back or striker we will be struggling in europe because if miller or zurawski get injured we have no one because craig beattie is never fit and riordan is better in midfield than upfront and any half decent winger would make a mockery of camara at left back

    if bieng honest ..Left Back,Midfielder,CB,and Striker could all be strenghend.. i will be very happy with 2 possibly 3 players tho..firsts things first a Left-Back.. badly needed and also Wilson looks superb at his correct position RB. so thats sorted.

    Petkov looks like coming in at LB

    Olaf Melberg would be fantastic at CB

    we still need a good few players in.Caldwell and McManus arent anywhere near accomplished or gd enuff for the CL. Id like to see Traore of Liverpoll come in fink he may have joined Charlton though and also a left back,looks like Petkov.
    We also need a target man and if we cant get VoH in which now looks like the case we should go for either Mido or Viduka.Kanu would be another alternative but that would be worst case scenerio I feel.

    IF we lose Petrov id bring in Tymosheck, but if Stan sees the light i think if we had all three we would HAVE to play three midfielders in the middle, otherwise wed have an unhappy bunny no matter who was shifted or dropped. As it stands, a left back is obviously a must, and a good strong striker with aerial presence we could do with aswell.

    Well while all was crazy and doom and gloom during pre-season I was never overly bothered. It was obvious we had a good team and a few pre season results didn't change that. Having said that while the 4-1 spanking of Kilmarnock was a great start I think we still need 3 or 4 new players to be able to compete at home and internationally. Obviously we need a left back so Mark Wilson can settle in at right back. I think Jarosik will do brilliantly in central midfield but if Petrov does leave he needs to be replaced and I think we do need a new striker one along the lines of Hartson. Plus at center back if Kennedy makes a full recovery that would like signing a new player but if he isn't going to make it we might need to look at center half.
