I couldn't have any less interest in darts but it is a game based solely on physical accuracy so surely by definition it is a sport?

Can't think any argument against other than those playing usually look like fat slobs :56:

It's both really, but you have to throw accurately, at the right angle, speed and power. So sport for me. A sport doesn't have to have a fat bloke blowing out his * after 5 minutes. If sports did then darts would be *.

I enjoy watching the darts and playing in the pub occasionally.

But if you can play with a pint in your hand wearing flip-flops, it can't be classed as a sport surely? It's a game

Not only is it a sport, it’s one of the most exciting ones about at the minute.

Welcome aboard all the Luke Littler inspired darts fans.

darts is a mental sport the same as pool and snooker, they are non physical sports but very very highly skilled mental sports.

    I don’t think of it as a sport, but I think it’s * so I’m biased.

It’s a sport and this is a silly argument that pops up.

Chess and Poker are skilled games. They’re played with the mind and don’t have a physical element that changes the effectiveness of each move. You can play both online and in person. Darts requires accuracy and physical endurance (yep, try throwing darts for 3 hours straight).
