I can never get my head round why players like Taylor and Barney mess around with their darts so much. If you're that good, surely you keep doing what you're doing? Or if it's money that makes them switch darts, is it really worth it if it's going to completely * your game up?

Taylor might as well have been throwing spanners at the board tonight. He had no confidence in those darts or where they were going and in the end MVG made him look foolish. He won't have liked that. It'll be interesting to see if he sticks with these new darts, he didn't stick with the glasses very long when he started losing while wearing them.

One of the guys analysing the darts tonight saying phil's game was let down due to his recent loss of weight (the weight loss was noticeable). I don't see how a weight loss can get to your game. It's his age that's the problem and this is the start of a declin in my opinion. Van Gerwen is much younger and sharper hence will begin to take liberties so to speak.

did any of you even watch it? it was nothing to do with sky being gutted. Former premier league player Wayne Mardle is a pundid on it and was asked what could be the reasons for such a poor performance. he suggested it was a combination of factors. in his opinion the main one being the change of darts. also his confidence, Phil had a shocking time at the world championships which MVG obviously won and MVG had beat him at the Players' Championship Final. It was also mentioned that Phil had been at some fit camp where he was on a juice diet, not sure what difference that makes but it could have took a toll on him mentally?
Wayne was't making excuses for Phil as you seem to suggest, he was just giving his opinion on why he was so *!

MVG was flawless tonight, even an on form Phil would have struggled to win that but it will be interesting to see how well Phil plays in the next league night. I don't think you can count him out just yet

I think it's because of Taylor's performance against Lewis earlier in the week he hit 2 nine darters to beat Lewis 6-2

You can get Anderson at 11/10 and Taylor at Evens on SKYBET.

Neither a certainty, but both too good to resist.

Had Thornton at 7/4 to beat Anderson, mental price, coasted home.
