Brave guy, best of luck to him. I hope UEFA have got the bollocks to hammer clubs if their fans indulge any derogatory chanting, no different to racism.

It’s brave enough to do that over here, but in that side of the world? Well done man, to be commended

Why would Prague be a worse city to be openly homosexual in than Glasgow?

Takes courage to come out and the quicker that coming out is no longer stigmatised or made out to be anything unusual or out of ordinary the better.

Or even better when it’s no longer necessary and people just learn it’s a natural thing

Well, certain Czech politicians are friendly towards Serbs. But yeah. An atheist majority country is definitely a better place to be LGBT than a country where the Orthodox Church holds sway over public opinion and politics.

Good to see. Unfortunately some have just called him attention seeking when the reality is he wants to be himself as do other gay footballers and I'm sure we've had them at Celtic. Gay footballers will likely be very careful in their private life, unable to hold hand with their partner in public for fear of being seen. The stands are full of * who would make their lives * and I hope in the future the players don't have to worry about that. If a hun came out I'd be disgusted if our fans insulted said player about it.

I've heard there is one currently in our set up. Which, I've said before.

When you have a general squad of about 25, plus loans out, plus the Colts then it's unlikely there isn't really I suppose. Although how has the culture of football put gay men off following thst dream or put people off the sport altogether. This isn't just about players though, it's about gay men not being afraid to go into the stands and support their team. If I was gay and I was hearing homophobic chants from my fellow supporters I'm not sure I'd want to be part of it.

I think that starts with education in schools. I remember being 11/12 and using the term gay as an offensive word when ripping into my pals. "Why you acting gay" etc... years later my wee brother came out. I'm against teaching children about * until their into their teens but I see no problem teaching children from a young age about different family set ups. My wee boy is 4 and he sees my brother and his partner as completely normal because we've never made a big deal out of it. He absolutely loves the pair of them. As children do, he asks questions and that but you just normalise it.

I'm not going to lie I've called people a puff, a * and * knows how many other derogatory names for being gay. Never really sure why as gay people have never bothered me. I knew people took it as an insult so used it. The sad thing is I know there were people at my school who came out as gay, how did my shithoussery make them feel. I hope they just think I was an ignorant thick * but I wouldn't be surprised if it upset them. I'd be raging if my son said plenty of the things I did as a kid.
Such a weird insult calling someone gay. But the same people who say it will listen to singers or watch actors they know are. I suppose the insult is not masculine, which is a very outdated stereotype.
