    Should be decent

    https://videocelts.com/2022/10/blog...-date-for-celtic-friendly-with-stade-rennais/

Ange Postecoglou’s side have two friendlies to play in Australia before taking a short break.

The squad, minus World Cup players will then head to the Algarve for some warm weather training, discussing Renais plans through the World Cup break Ouest France reports:

The return to La Piverdière will take place at the end of November for the players with a generous program: they will leave for an internship in the south of Portugal, near Faro, on Thursday 8 December.

The next day, they should face Celtic Glasgow there in a friendly, many teams having chosen this area of Europe for their mid-season preparation.

ANGE POSTECOGLOU isn't letting up anytime soon as he looks to keep his side in tip top condition during the World Cup shutdown.

The Hoops are set to jet off to Portugal seven days after their Sydney Super Cup appearance in late November, where they are already due to face off against Sydney FC and Premier League side Everton.

And they have now moved to line up a friendly for their training camp that's due to take place in the Algarve, according to reports in France.

Postecoglou's men look set to take on French top flight side Stade Rennais on 9th December, the same day as two of the World Cup Quarter Finals are due to be played.

Postecoglou had previously revealed the plans to head to the Algarve for a week long camp as he looks to prepare his side for what is set to be a congested second half of the season as a result of the winter World Cup.

The Aussie boss admitted that he'll only manage to catch a glimpse of the tournament as a result of the hectic schedule.

He told the said: "It’s probably the only time I’ll have (after the Sydney Super Cup matches) within the next sort of period to get down to Melbourne and visit friends.

“I’ve got about another week off after those games. So, I’m gonna go down to Melbourne and just catch up with people and watch the games on the telly.

“And then we’ll head back, cause we’ll go back straight after that and go into camp in Portugal, and get ready for the second half of the year.

"With the World Cup being smack bang in the middle, it means the programme either side of it is super congested

Rennes have confirmed they will play Celtic in Portugal on December 10.
The two clubs will be in Portugal for a warm weather training camp and have linked up to give their players some much needed game minutes before the season recommences.

There’s no official word from Celtic on the tie as of yet. Nor did Rennes confirm, where and what time the game would take place.

The clubs came up against each other not so long ago in the Europa League. They’ll renew their rivalry in a much more laid back fashion in Portugal,

Celtic players were given some much needed time off after the first half of the season, culminating in a long haul flight to Sydney. After the bhoys played two games down under, the squad went their separate ways.

They’re due back at Lennoxtown later this week before heading to Portugal on Sunday.

Details have been released about Celtic’s friendly against French side Rennes with the game scheduled for December, 10 at 10am Celtic Park time [Rennes].
After extending their lead at the top of the SPFL Premiership to nine points, Celtic travelled to Australia to take on Sydney FC and Everton in Ange Postecoglou’s homecoming before getting a short break

Those matches feel like a long time ago with Celtic fans looking forward to the match away to Aberdeen in just over a weeks time as domestic football resumes.

Broadcast details around the game have not been announced but it was confirmed by @CelticFCSLO that Hoops fans will not be able to attend the match.

Kobayashi possibly could as I know he is there with the boys but I would be surprised if Johnston did given how soon after the World Cup this is.

Jobs on the line if he doesn't win this after the blunder down under, getting beat by a Aussie Rules team and English non league team.

    Just can't get enough
This is one I'd like to see. I'm fine with Ralston at RB if JJ goes. But if Starfelt is still out Kobay could be a good bench option if CCV or Jenz has to go off against Sevco.

However I'd be happier if he had a run out first, even if it is just a friendly

Starfelt is fit? He played in the last few games before the break started.
